Why do you keep repeating this as if i asked her to stop or locked the thread?

If you think that Nigeria is hard then wait until you leave Nigeria ill-prepared then you will miss every bit of Nigeria.
you keep talking as if ones can know all these before travelling , there is a limit to what you get while researching ,others are first hand experience which no one will tell u.

you are blaming the lady now as if shes not updating infor for those making research on travelling to Ireland.

Yes you can know all that before leaving Nigeria especially the cost of living in Ireland as a foreign student.

You will also know how much you should have to be able to survive in that country.

Your school and course ranking is also available so as to know your chances of getting employment.

Many just want to travel abroad with no care in the world for an adequate preparation

I can relate to what the poster described.

I visited Dublin two years ago, to see if I can move there, but I changed my mind as it didn't fit the impression I had. Electric wire scattered in the skies like Oshodi, homeless people everywhere in the center and the cost of living is so high. For example, I paid about 6 euros for a one-way bus ticket to my hotel, which is expensive compared to other EU countries. And don't get me started on the housing cost. I visited a friend there that work in Dublin but lived far from Dublin, just to get affordable accommodation, and he (and his wife) even shared it with another family.

And I don't find it beautiful at all, except nature and countryside. And don't get me started on the weather. I don't mind the cold, and even the rain, but when it rains, windy and cold at the same time, that even my umbrella is useless because of the winds blew it off, and the rain refused to stop after days, dropping, drizzling and just being a nuisance, then that's worrisome. Also, Ireland has one of the highest obesity rates in Europe, with about 1 in 4 people classified as obese. I enjoyed the fact that I can communicate effortlessly with English, and it is quite multicultural, but I can not live there, it will be a downgrade in my lifestyle compare to where I am migrating from.

• It’s a dead zone; don’t come here with high hopes and creativity, you will end up in the warehouse and factories
• Education: The academic system here is unnecessarily tough and the certificates are not well recognized, most average black family here send their kids to the UK or USA
• Accomodation crisis: be prepared to share a room and bathroom with three people while you share a kitchen with like 15 -20 people
• The immigration process is slow and expensive; you have to pay to get your visa upon arrival asides the payment you made in Nigeria, after studying for a year and your visa expires you will pay and get appointment (which is a very slow process i.e you can wait 2 months to be able to get an appointment date)and renew your visa for another one year when that expires you pay again and get an appointment but the only difference is that this time you must show proof that you have been trying to get a job and details of job applications and interview
• The standard of living is unnecessarily expensive; when you get here you wont even be able to afford basic things of life such as coke and Fanta, for lades things like toiletries and sanitary towels cost a fortune
• Transportation; this cost between 80-100 Euros per week
• Wages; here in Ireland you get paid weekly, every Friday morning you get your wages and it will mostly go on rent, transport and feeding and the cycle continues, you are only allowed to work maximally for 20hours
• Health; seeing a doctor cost as much as 100 Euros and you will only get a note to get drugs from the pharmacist (cost depends on the drugs) or go do test (Usually 200-300 Euros), Ambulance service starts at 100 Euros

If you're intending to travel either for a degree or immigration purposes, ask me questions and i will be sure to reply you

Going to Ireland is infinitely better than eastern Europe or any part of Asia.

You may find yourself working very hard to establish yourself, but you can make a nice life for you and your children.

Generally, if you want to keep it simple and accelerate the process, go to school there for a medical job. There are viable med jobs besides doctor or nursing, and some don't involve blood and messy aspects of medical care.
