Hello, good morning. Please i am about entering the pool, and i calculated my crs score and i did not input my husband's quaification to claim any point ans it was 466. I am thinking it's not necessary for my husband to have his wes evaluated since i wont be claiming any point for his degree due to wes timeline but he would be writing ielts. Since i will be selecting none or less than high school level of education for him, Hope it wont have any aftermath if he doesnt get his ECA report?
Thanks.

Fellow Nairalanders, please I have a question...
When submitting our documents post ITA, are we to also upload the thumbprint pages along with the Nigerian PCC? Or is the pink copy alone sufficient?

Please write a passionate letter to AVO.
Beg, plea and compliment their efforts.
Trust me. Try this and before weekend, you will thank me grin

deboks:
Hello FAM;
Got a question, don't know if anyone has experience this.

My AOR is September 15th 2018. Yes. Its almost 8 months 2 weeks (for those who believe they are the last in December AOR to receive PPR; saw a comment like that and silently chucked). Many of us are out there... Mostly just exhausted to comment...as most of the peeps we applied with have landed. Lol. This process can take a lot from you... Be prepared.

Anyways, so after 7 months of silence i got an update, i finally moved to 1P2, background check had commenced.... Finally ....in my mind!!!! Friday, 10th May ( some days to the 8 month mark) i get another update. This time a ghost update. On Monday, 13th May, i put a call to CIC and was told i should receive a letter shortly. I waited till Friday, 17th May 2019 and called again, this time i was congratulated by the call agent that my application had been approved and i should have received an email for passport request letter. I told him i got nothing yet. He said it was sent to AVO to issue the letter. told him i haven't received anything from any Visa Office.

Anyways... I was asked to email AVO and raise a CSE...telling them am aware my application has been approved but i was yet to receive PPR.... i have Submitted and email and CSE. Its been more than 2 weeks no response or PPR from AVO.

I called again Friday, 23rd May, the agent was nice and said he will contact AVO himself. Anyways just to be proactive I just wrote an email to Ralph last night. Besides my email address is correct as i have confirmed this in the several calls to CIC.

It is so exhausting to have waited so long and then told it was approved... but no proof... Lols ( lawyer speaking)

My question is if anyone has experience this and what more can i do in the case? Is it possible for AVO to do any how after Oga at the top has approved?

See eh.. Perhaps i just need an avenue to vent...my family is tip toeing around me they actually think this whole process is scam, they don't know anyone personally around us that is in Canada through this process. As e don take this long na... Make i forget am... But here i am i want to tell them i have gotten it!!! It works!!! See... But nothing to show that e don show...so am just quiet. Lols.

My family knew when i applied and how hopeful i was to get PPR by 3months as i arranged my documents carefully. and that theory " if you had if difficult post ITA... It will be faster for you post AOR" Lols... Bullshit... I wrote IELTS 3 times, i submitted LLb, BL, Msc for evaluation .. Didn't know at the time i only needed my masters... So imagine evaluation from 3 Nigerian institutions with WES. From the day i started this process till now .. 1 year 6 months. Lols.

See, not every one will get that 3 months timeline... Not everyone will get the before 6months timeline. Some like me ...will for whatever reason best known to CIC will be tested in patience... Be ready.
Hopefully soon i can complete it by saying " Be ready, though you pass through the furnace of patience the fire shall not burn thee because thou shall come out victorious"...

This really made me laugh. I hope you get it soon. You are at the finish line.
I was exactly like you, i thought i would get mine in 3 months, but it's been 7 months and background check has not even been done. I think these days Ottawa VO is the worst.
I pray for your speedy PPR this week.

Hello everyone
I am expecting provincial nomination within the next couple of days. But I have a little challenge. Going over my NOCs and the reference letters, I discovered some sort of misalignment. As we all know, IRCC may pick on that so I have prepared a letter of explanation that states I had an experience that cut across the expected and chosen NOC.

A little background: I have 4 different work experiences and 3 letters of reference - my first and fourth work experience are in the same organisation. The way my first work experience was written it aligns more with 2171 but in my EE profile I chose 1122. In the letter of explanation I have added some certifications that qualified me for NOC 2171. My second work experience fits more with 1222 but I filled in 2123 mainly because I got a bit more involved with technical work.

Finally, my 3rd work experience is more 1122 inclined (thanks to @topsmamen, our copacetic senior) but I erroneously selected 4161. I dont have a problem with my 4th work experience because the right NOC was selected.

So here's my real headache, should I change my NOCs before ITA? If I change before or after accepting nomination should I contact my province immediately or I should just focus on IRCC? Can a letter of explanation replace the NoC you submitted. I have read of people who changed their NOC after ITA but used LoE to explain why they did. Will the case officer work with the submitted NOC or the NOC stated in the LOE?

Any ideas on the relationship between IRCC officials and the provincial officers?

Please I need help with the above. I am practically in a race against time.

Hi, just as everyone has advised, hang in there. It's definitely closer than you imagine. Also I guess you're doing this already but for emphasis, check you spam mail, junk mail, archived mail, (just open every box in your mail - on a laptop or desktop). Recently, while working on a desktop, I saw some mails in my junk box which I cannot see or access while checking my mail from my phone.

My point is - by all means, double check from your end.

It will end in praise. Expecting your PPR story soon.

*Edited* Bro, I wish I can ignore, but I will still say this. Is it a coincidence that after about a 20 minutes whatsapp call with me on 5th April(I have the call records with me), your Writing increased from 6.5 to 7.5 between your last two attempts? I know it was a short call we had, but it was free; you didn’t pay. Prior to this call, you even sent your tasks 1 and 2 writings for me to review, which I did. There is what we call appreciation. I’m not asking for vain glory, but please give some credit to who credit is due.

Henceforth, anyone coming to me for coaching, please carry your plenty money come o. wink No free or chicken-fee coaching. That way, I know I’m getting my due reward. Or else, you can try alternative sources. All the best to IELTS candidates.

Hello Psalmizt,

Not a Subject Matter Expert on this matter yet, but I have recently had to read around this particular topic.

My Take

I'll say do not change NOCs on your IRCC profile pre-ITA - you do not necessarily have full information on what criteria the PNP programme used in selecting you for consideration for nomination. For instance, it might be that you must have 3+ years of work experience in a particular NOC (e.g.1122) within the past 5 years.

There's a window you can use to 'optimise' your work experience/ NOC on your e-APR. You however need to ensure that if your provincial nomination is tied to a particular NOC (=occupation in demand), whatever changes you (propose to) make should not result in you attaining a lower number of years of work experience in that NOC that made you qualify for the Provincial Nomination in the first place. Post-AOR, the PNP-route assessment process starts with the IRCC Officer evaluating your eligibility against the criteria (as at your nomination date) for the particular PNP programme you were nominated under - any post-ITA discrepancy may be a red flag.

Folks who modified their NOCs post-ITA may not have had the PNP assessment criteria to worry about. As far as they still meet (or surpass) the qualifying criteria for the number of work-experience years in a qualifying NOC, they will scale the Express Entry-FSW assessment hurdle for work experience and may not have had to write an LOE for such.

True. I strongly agree on the bolded.

My primary NOC is 1122 and that was what I started in my provincial application. It is IRCC's strictness that I am concerned about. I dont intend to change my reference letters and my experiences are legit. I am just concerned about the seemingly gap between my chosen NOC and reference letter.

All my experiences can be verified.

Thanks.

If when calculating your score you had 466 even when you clicked on married then you might have no need doing an ECA for your husband, but if you clicked single you may try re-calculating using married status cos the score might reduce as a married applicant.
