Come on! Career progression may be different for different job specifications but entry level salary for B.sc is similar with little or no difference, so how does his question not make any sense

It depends o. Having Masters degree when you are still non academic doesn't involve any upgrading. It is just an additional advantage. Converting to Academic staff isn't automatic unless there is a vacant which you would have to apply for the job as you already have your masters degree.
