Comprehension is a big problem for some people. Did Peter Obi say anything about Igbos in his statement.He stated a fact that Amaechi is not from the south East. What does that have to do with the Ikwere being Igbo or not. Please note also that there are some non Igbos that are from the south east.

Mind you there are indigenous Igbo communities in Benue and Kogi (NC)
Edo, Delta, Rivers, CRS, (SS)
Do you also know that there are Indigenous Igala and Idoma peoples in Anambra and Enugu states (SE) respectively

But what Amaechi said is the truth; you cant fault the truth!

Since the formation of APC in 2013, for the love of GEJ, the Igbo nation declared APC as a leprous organisation that should never be touched, and by doing so, the Igbo nation played itself out of the political mix. Only hope to redeem that was for PDP to win 2019 but it didnt happen (except a miracle happens at the tribunal).

Since inception, APC has been nurtured purely by the SW and the North, so one doesnt need a soothsayer to know APC would most likely rotate their ticket the SW after PMB, and of course in a desperate bid to get back to power, PDP will field another northerner in 2023.
