Presidential Order: Taskforce Starts Towing Of Trucks And Trailers On The Roads by AutoReportNG: 4:27am On May 28, 2019
In our early report, we wrote that the trucks have started leaving the road as being mandated by the presidency but however, there are still some stubborn that despite the directive refused to leave and still stay on the road.

Sequel to the 2 weeks ultimatum given to Trucks and Trailers to leave Lagos roads and bridges by the Federal government, the task force charged with the responsibility at the expiration of its 72 hours ultimatum, has began towing trucks and trailers not on queues to move into the ports on the Apapa Oshodi expressway as revealed by the attached images obtained yesterday 27th May, 2019.

All trucks and trailers have been notified that they must be on queue to move into the ports as it has been discovered that some trucks have converted public roads and bridges to trailers and trucks park, hence, any truck or trailer not on queue for the onward movement into the parks are being towed away by the committee towing vehicles.

The committee is working assiduously round the clock 24/7 to achieve Mr. President 2 weeks ultimatum of the evacuation of trucks and trailers off Lagos roads and bridges and free access to the ports by vehicles for business.

The taskforce which comprises of police, FRSC, LASTMA, Navy and other agencies are going out to see that Lagos road is free of any illegal trucks. It should be noted that truck that is tolled will require a presidential approval before it can be released to the owner.

AutoReportNG, however, noted that Ijora 7up is still filled with these trucks as they are yet to evacuate the road, same applies to those in Apapa, Mile 2, Cele and some other parts.

Here are some of the images from the site.

I think the better to treat the trucks is to have service tag so, that we knw the number of trucks going to the port. Instead of parking at the road n causing traffic jam. I knw police will see this another means of patrick grammer

This is long overdue. The continuous presence of the trucks on the roads and bridges have made Lagos smelly and dirty.
Most of the drivers do their poops and wee-wee on the road. I'm sure some would have been bringing stoves to cook on the spot.

Presidential order...

My problem is, must the Minister involved be told what to do, can't they just be proactive.

I think the govt parastatal should all have KPIs target to meet.

It’s highly disappointing that it took this long and we hadvr a state captain sorry governor who could not do a thing other thank use two wrist watches.

B@st@rd!!!

The navy and army officers on those bridges are so fvcking corrupt that they make more than 100K on the daily. Funny enough most of them have now bout their own cars in a space of 8 months or there about.

Imagine collecting as much as 15K from each trailer everyday.

Truth be told, i don’t think think this nation will ever work and I saw one poster shouting “”””Giant of Africa, Giant of Africa”””” don’t be fooled. We’re the midget of the universe.

I don't know why you are so greedy and self-centered. You will create a thread and still go ahead to be the FTC, later you will be accusing our leaders for similar thing.

You may not take this serious but it definitely shows the kind of person you are in some aspect.

Why are we like this in?

It is better you pray for yourself that whether Nigeria is good or bad, you should prosper (just like Isaac prospered during farmine in his days) than waste your prayers for Nigeria.

As for me, even Nigeria collapses finally tomorrow, I will still prosper. Nigeria can never work with the attitude we all have.

Ownership is irrelevant, let it just stop being a nuisance to other road users.

Personally I don't do the FTC thingy but my point is, some people like and enjoy it so they go into a fresh thread because of that but the OP always deprive them of that. The truth is the OP is selfish and self-centered and he/she is no different from or greedy politicians that want everything to themselves

It's the height of joblessness. How can a grown man ignore the message in a thread and be fighting for something irrelevant as FTC? Beats my imagination

Enforcement of law is what Nigeria needs to get working, there must be consequences for all offences irrespective of who is involved.
Unfortunately, our leadership are lethargic because they are most often guilty of breaking the law, man-know-man and connection method in treating offences should be condemned by all.
