If Indriver based on their model which is quite different from uber/bolt should start operation in Nigeria, i believe things will get better for drivers. Drivers will now decide whether they want to go to certain destination, take less trips but make more money. Experienced drivers would see a reduction in the cost of their car maintenance as they would not accept certain trips going to areas with bad roads.

I expect that Uber and Bolt would now be forced to give drivers and riders more incentives.as they scramble to get drivers off indriver app platform. i think happy days are here for drivers, hope my forecast plays out well.

Their campaign offer is just for 6 months, afterwards, they will start collecting a certain percentage.

These guys are all there in it for profit, which is the essence of every business, all the talk about caring for the driver are just bullsh!t.

They are all trying disrupt the ecosystem and win the market for a start, afterwards they will start looking for a way to maximize profit.

Ikeja might be a better route to Airport for now.

You don't understand. Whether you go through ikeja or oshodi has nothing to do with this. The traffic is at the international airport terminal, climbing the ramp that leads to the terminal.

5%-8% is what InDriver will charge after 6 months.

Official launch in Lagos coming soon Godwilling. I expect a mad rush by both riders and drivers. It's to everybody's advantage.

True, but find a way nah. Taking people with you to airport when you travel is not just for show. Sometimes you need porters and personal security. #Hehe

This is Lagos not Los Angeles.

That is their projection in order to be profitable. Also with time, they will adjust north or south depending on realities on ground. Come on man, this is business, and not some non profit venture.

Bottom line is, the numbers will be the driving factor in the long run; the caring for driver disposition is just an entry strategy. They have salaries to pay, sever to maintain, to mention but a few.

Nigerians generally want someone else to work so that they can eat for free, as in slave for them without realising that they set themselves up for exploitation and scamming when they deal with people on that expectation.
That is why we are reluctant to pay rent, electricity & water bills etc. Then we complain. Na who send us
Businesses are in for a profit. The workers should pressure to have a fairer deal.

This is true and it applies to every industry in the world.. Supply and demand has to be in place for anything business to exist but what I meant by bringing food to the table should be digested and understood by people with a bit of common sense..
People just want to jump on things they barely understand

The point of this whole argument is that people should not have to wreck their health or their vehicles to put food on the table & pay bills.

Uber uses certain economic indicators and policies to fix its prices, key among which is the size of Nigeria's market. If the market is so huge yet people are generally impoverished, the only way to sell is to fix rock bottom prices and run at little or no cost.

See, both of those two key strategies i.e. rock-bottom fares and zero cost, are at the expense of the drivers/partners. Drivers are working to the point of exhaustion just to have something tangible at the end of the day (this is very risky) and the vehicles are being driven to death.

Office Location: 3-9 Olu Koleosho Street, Off Medical Road, Ikeja, Lagos

WHY DOES YOUR CAR NEED MYMOTO TRACKER

(1) Security: While anti-theft systems like push-buttons before car start, gear lock, pedal locks etc… are good, ONLY A TRACKING SYSTEM LIKE OURS ALLOWS YOU TO RECOVER (AND ALSO PROTECT) YOUR VEHICLE IF YOUR CAR IS HIJACKED FROM YOU WHILE DRIVING. Our trackers are both anti-theft and recovery in nature. e.g. You should shutdown your car before you sleep at night or park in a public space. Whenever you need to start the car, you enable it also.

(2) Remote Monitoring: GPS Security trackers allows you to monitor your vehicle location remotely from your phone. You are able to view your car’s location in real time (from our IOS/ANDROID APPS).

(3) Vehicle History: Through our online platform (IOS/ANDROID APPS) , you can view where your car had been between DAY X and DAY Y. A plot is shown on a map showing your car’s movement over this period of time.

(4) Remotely Stop Your Car: With our security GPS tracker, you are able to stop your car from ANY PHONE with an sms command. This function can also be carried out through our online platforms.

(5) Geo-Fencing Alarm:If your car goes beyond set a radius (or multi-point), say Lagos, you will be notified by sms.

(6) Other alarms (Over-speed Alarm, Ignition On Alarm, Low Battery Alarm ): Over-speed alarms notifies you via sms when your car goes beyond a particular speed. Ignition on notifies you WHENEVER your car is started. Low Battery Alarm lets you know when your car battery is low.

(7) Daily Mileage report (online platform): Daily mileage report shows you a daily chart (in KM) of your car.

We have heard of one or two expereience of how clients were able to recover their vehicles BECAUSE THEY HAD A TRACKER INSTALLED IN IT. We will be sharing some of them with you based on TRUE LIFE EXPERIENCES.

If you have had personal experiences also, kindly share with us.

WE STILL INSTALL THE MOST AFFORDABLE TRACKERS AROUND STARTING FROM 25K (VARIES WITH CAR MODEL).

CONTACT US ON 09032614208 OR 08060675824. More details on tracker: https://mymoto.com.ng/why-you-should-install-the-mymoto-security-tracker/

WE ARE THE ONLY COMPANY THAT OFFERS FREE LIFETIME ACCESS TO OUR ONLINE PLATFORMS FOR MONITORING/STOPpING YOUR CAR.

YOU'VE SPENT QUITE MUCH TO ACQUIRE YOUR CAR, SECURE IT WITH A TRACKER. BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY

Story 1
During one of our installs, the client shared with us how Mr Ayo (not his real name) borrowed his brothers car, and waylaid in the night somewhere in Lagos. Unknown to the thieves, the car had a tracker in it. That same night they tracked the vehicle to a military baracks (apparenntly the thieves had accomplices with military connections). They went with the police and they were able to recover the car (THE DEMOBILIZE FUNCTION OF THE TRACKER WAS USED TO ENSURE THE CAR DID NOT MOVE UNTIL THEY GOT TO THAT LOCATION)...

Story 2
Mr Bayo was bout entering his car in the night somewhere in Lagos when he was attacked. He immediately used his phone to demobilize the car some minutes after they had zoomed away with the car. The thieves ran away when they discovered the car wasn't strating again. The car was tracked to Ajah. Apparently the thieves ran away in fear with the keys of the car grin

Fixed fare won't work. It will do more harm than good. It will cause quarrel between riders and drivers. No more useless waiting cos it will be to the detriment of the driver. Some bad drivers will end trip if the traffic is crazy and force riders to take bike. Also what happens when rider choose a wrong location? Some streets are not even on d map. Some riders will choose lekki phase1 while he or she is going to jakande. Nobody will tell them before they go status quo.
