But at the same time it does not give them the opportunity to enslave the masses .. The government should step in case of any abuse... but we are in a capitalist society, so we might have a gray area .. It is up to the government to determine what is consider cooperate abuse...

We are in a confused society actually with government still owning many businesses including football clubs and fixing different exchange rates that promotes round tripping corruption.
The confusion is what has made us the extreme poverty capital of the world.

I think you need to inform uber about the N1,700 tip. Since i am sure after uber reviews your trip, your account would be credited.
I did and they said they have done so but it's not reflecting on my dashboard

Good question frank. It wasnt that it was padlocked. But most time u drive in for pick up especially airport riders, gate will be closed immediately. But the fact that u wont order aboki to open the gate for me as i was the 3rd uber that cancelled already thst time got me angry.
Meanwhile, he was even going to ikate.
He was even threatening me with dogs if i tried to come down to open the gate myself. Very funny experience gan ni bro

Na to accept to wash the tire, carry the rider far from him house and call other Uber drivers for road to join hand to beat am grin grin

Some people are just mean and inconsiderate, picked this woman, her kid and neighbors kid from mafoluku to Yaba.
She didn't want us to pass the normal route she kept directing through the worse of roads. Sometimes we will meet traffic she will tell me to reverse and change route, dropped the kids at jibowu and her final destination Abeokuta street Yaba.
Immediately we enter the street the woman said I should end trip, I did. She now told me she's going down the street that I should let her follow me to the office which I did.
We got there she got down and said I should send my account details to her since I have her number, I let her go because cars were behind me and nowhere to park there.
Besides I didn't bother since it's an Uber trip, I sent my account details later. This woman sent a message telling me she sent message to Uber that the price is much that she will soon forward the reply to me, I regretted letting this woman go.
She just used sense for me, only for me to check that trip and saw 000 naira I quickly mailed Uber they started saying their normal when a rider question a trip they always review it.
They said I took the wrong route or that the woman said it was a GPS issue, I sent my own mail regarding the said trip they said they have added miscellaneous whatever to my next week payout.
Up till now I can't see the reflection of any refund and the trip didn't even count as regards the 15 trip stuff, I called this woman several times she didn't pick.
I later called her with several different number she picked and when she learnt it's me said sorry that she told Uber she's paying #1200.

This is a journey that took over an hour, I told her plainly that she simply doesn't want to pay. That if she multiply #10/m she have roughly #700, does it mean she want to pay #500 from Ikeja to Yaba with stop at jibowu. Even if Uber want to do something they will only give her bonus as balance and won't tell her not to pay the fare displayed on the app, I was already at her mercy and simply told her to pay whatever she want to pay. She transferred #1700, that's why some drivers rather do saka.
I even blame Uber for reviewing a trip they knew nothing about without asking the driver first and believing a one side story.
I told them my mind sha, that drivers are not slaves. They should learn to hear from drivers first before reviewing any trip.

Boss next time, study rider and clear well, you know the draft, I can only let someone go if I'm clear about coming back to pull trouble of a better leverage

I think a car that can stand E hailing stress should cost above a million Naira except in some few cases where friend/family literally give away his/her car for a token. That being said. So, how can someone invest over a million naira on a car only to demand 25k weekly rental? And my answer is, any driver that sees or get an offer of 25k weekly rental should run for his/her life.

My opinion tho

If you are a new driver, I think you should test yourself with rentals first before going into HP cos with HP, you will pay weekly and also u will be responsible for maintaining the car. But if u are an oldie, mehn, u gotta ask yourself if u are ready for HP and be sincere with urself when answering the question.

I try to encourage people to look for a corolla alternative that will be good for uber. It fail on deaf ears, with a tokunbo civic your Hp should not be more than 2.2m , we at times are our own worse enemy... people need to start thinking outside the box

You are so correct.. I will use myself as an example.. One of my cars had a /c compressor issue.. The a/c will only work at night only, so I had to give the car out for 20k week rental till I fix the compressor, I spent over 100k to fix the compressor, the tokunbo ones you see at ladipo are try your luck.. They can only give u 1 week warranty.. I had to change compressor 3 times and was told to convert to manual compressor.. I said to myself that is not how the car was designed o.. I went to ebay bought one for $55.00 and a/c dryer .. .got it to Naija and a month later the a/c is so chilling riders are complaining the car is too cold.. And I took it to Radauto for installation... so my brother you are very rite o
