I believe anybody who is trying to go settle down in a foreign country must know that there are also negative sides of every country. their is also racism in Jordan just like every other countries in the world. we have bad people everywhere. I'm only trying to let those who like saying bad stuffs about countries they know nothing about see the light. I get you now bro

"information is power and power is not negotiable " what you don't know, you don't know. I was once like you guys, talking bad about countries like Jordan until I was given the information at a very costly price. You see bro, it's better to take a different route to a France, Estonia, China etc, if you will not easily get the same opportunity here in your beloved Nigeria. with my residents permit in Jordan, I got my Estonia and Netherlands within six months. Everything is about plan, don't stay in Nigeria applying for these countries visas cos you will be wasting much of your time. the Jordan citizens here don't travel that much cos their country is doing great... presently a Jordan Dina is 507 to your Nigeria naira. each time I sent just 30 JD home to my brother, I dey feel the prayers lol. people with visions don't stay in one corner of their house waiting for things to happen, they go out to make it happen. Stop discouraging people who are old enough to decide for themselves. peace

indeed.....

I travel a lot to other destinations from my base in another promising African country

So I get what you mean...

however I have seen time and time again over the years how Nigerians get BURNT going to these obscure countries

one committed suicide last year
he went to was it Kazakhstan or something like that....
and was disappointed big time

It's not good to br desperate to run out of Nigeria
It's good to move, but move with sense and not desperation

I know Nigerians very well, they will not heed my advice, na "Obiagu" una go wan form....

Few years ago when my brother was about to travel to Israel, he opened a thread here to ask about the country but to our surprise most of the response he got here nearly made him to let go of his plan. I later sat him down and made him realise that there is no harm in trying something, because if you don't try you won't know. He listened to me, now he's happy he did. He was able to seek asylum when he got there and he is now working and making it big in Tel Aviv. You don't have to compare yourself with someone that committed suicide, compare yourself with someone that travelled and become big in life. positive thinking, I understand you Tho, but you can't actually make it without thinking out of the box. No be all of us go go US, UK, Australia, Canada etc

I know nothing about tourist visa, most guys here came through tourist visa and they are regretting that now. So, it is better to go through study. if you're considering studying there, you have to read this thread from page 1

The moment you get your iqama that is the permit, you can start scouting for jobs. I spent close to a month before I started working. My advice to you is to get prepared financially, cos no one is going to help you with any financial assistance their o. Everything depends on luck, the privilege you have as a student with permit is that you can walk free anywhere in the country. that gives you an upper hand when it comes to job hunting. There are factory works, hotels, malls etc

I'm not aware of any other money apart from your visa fee. Maybe if your documents are not complete or BTA. I know there is corruption everywhere in the world, it's not just Nigeria thing. But if at all they are requesting for money as you said, it can't be more than 30 to 40$....I'm not in Jordan right now, I'm in Estonia. maybe when I get back, I will help you to ask around.

The permit is for a year and its renewable. with the permit you are free to go out and come in to Jordan anyhow you want. I can't really say much about how much you need for expenses bro. we all have different tastes. I don't know how much you like fun like clubbing, flexing etc. so I can't say. but try plan well, if you sabi manage like me, 120k is enough till you get work. I no go even spend am reach 70k self.. lol

@xoxo001,thanks alot,my question is if u apply for course in that school for 4 month,is it possible for u to get iqama with that and also can u extend the iqama for like 1 year.
2.like how many year can someone stay in jordan before he apply for schengen visa and is it with ur naija passport u apply or u need to get jordan citizen before u can apply.
3.i have apply to the school AL-Thuraya and they have called me yesterday night but before i go on with the process i need to sure if i can get to Europe from there cos that is the only reason am apply to jordan.
Lastly within this 4months course i hope i can work with my iqama cos i decline the school hostle and i dont have anybody in jordan i just believe when i get there i will look for naija community to stay or i look for my own studio flat there, hope my decision are good abtb the house.
Thanks Brother.i await ur quick response cos the admin office like call me back today so i can no what to tell him.
