Few years ago when my brother was about to travel to Israel, he opened a thread here to ask about the country but to our surprise most of the response he got here nearly made him to let go of his plan. I later sat him down and made him realise that there is no harm in trying something, because if you don't try you won't know. He listened to me, now he's happy he did. He was able to seek asylum when he got there and he is now working and making it big in Tel Aviv. You don't have to compare yourself with someone that committed suicide, compare yourself with someone that travelled and become big in life. positive thinking, I understand you Tho, but you can't actually make it without thinking out of the box. No be all of us go go US, UK, Australia, Canada etc

@xoxo001,thanks alot,my question is if u apply for course in that school for 4 month,is it possible for u to get iqama with that and also can u extend the iqama for like 1 year.

yes, you get your permit immediately after your medical

2.like how many year can someone stay in jordan before he apply for schengen visa and is it with ur naija passport u apply or u need to get jordan citizen before u can apply.

You apply with your naija passport, you can't get their citizenship... it's impossible

3.i have apply to the school AL-Thuraya and they have called me yesterday night but before i go on with the process i need to sure if i can get to Europe from there cos that is the only reason am apply to jordan.

Yes, it's easier to get to other countries through Jordan once you have your residence permit.

Lastly within this 4months course i hope i can work with my iqama cos i decline the school hostle and i dont have anybody in jordan i just believe when i get there i will look for naija community to stay or i look for my own studio flat there, hope my decision are good abtb the house.
Thanks Brother.i await ur quick response cos the admin office like call me back today so i can no what to tell him.

You can start working the moment you get your permit, the aim is not to go their to study but to use the country as a step to a better country. [b]

Just apply for a language course programme to save cost, you really don't need the school. you are just using it to get the residence permit to work. Who Arabic language eep?

Thanks for the enlightenment @xoxo001.. With your analysis, I have 2 questions to ask .
1. How many weeks does it take to get resident permit if admitted by Althuraya or any other school in Jordan ?
2. The Althuraya school program is around 16 weeks, will this be enough for someone to change his /her status ?

xoxo001:

They don't have embassy in Nigeria, after you have been admitted by the school you applied for. They will send you your admission letter through Email, you come with the printed letter and a letter from their immigration office to Jordan. A visa sticker will be stamp on your passport at the port of entry... then after that you will proceed to do your medicals with the school clinic before you will be given Iqama that is the residents permit. you are free to work with it, no harassment once you have it. I think you should budget 800k BTA inclusive for all expenses.

You can get your residence permit within a week bro and you can start looking for job. Note, the school will not help you with your residence permit unless you come to school regularly for at least a month but you can always get it outside if you can't wait for the school but you will have to go pay for it outside, but the school will give you for free if you wait

The way xoxo001 has been helpful got me thinking about the country. But one still has to do more research. The thought of living and dieing in Naija scares the bejesus out of me. Truth is that we can't all go to u.s/europe. There are other saner countries out there. The mode of travel too...very very important.
yes bro, one has to be very careful and plan well before embarking on any journey. I can still remember how the guy that was supposed to pick me up switched off his phone...lol

unlike other Arab countries, their social life is better not like the western world o but average. there are bars that sell beer and other alcoholic Drinks, hotels with club etc. However, you can't flirt with their ladies, don't go their. The Jordananian ladies are very decent and nice unlike some of their men. You are free to date other foreign ladies anyhow you want, some whites from Eastern Europe self dey here for prostitution. Indians, Philippines women etc are also here. so if you want women to date you can always choose from those foreigners sha.
