It's not a monthly issue. Monthly environmental exercise should not come back.

What stops our markets and motor parks from being clean?

Free drainages and stop selling of items in nylon and buy back empty plastic containers and sachets from people.

Shut any market with litter, stagnant waters or mud.

As in, is it supposed to be negotiated? Isn't cleanliness next to Godliness again?? Just one day out of 30days in a month to clean up won't hurt.

No, I do no support it.
If the government want to keep the city clean: they can do it without restricting the movement of tax payers.
Do you know how much that is being lost during that stupid hour of movement restriction?

We need it for now, Lagos is now extremely dirty. Sanwo Olu administration should put in place proactive measures in arresting the ugly situation. If things improve as times goes on, it can be cancelled.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness!

Re: Lagosians Do You Support The Return Of Monthly Sanitation Exercise by slimfit1(m): 7:05pm On Jun 01, 2019
Lagos does not need it, what they need is health officials that will inspect houses environment fine landlords and homeowners for environmental violation for not keeping 100 meters of their environment clean.

By the way the illnesses we get such as malaria is as a result of dirty water etc. In London you get mosquito bites every summer but it passes no parasitic substance into the body because.

Only a person with low IQ will support the return of such nonsense that is just a waste of time !!!!! Monthly sanitation exercise is not a modern or smart approach to the problem..we must remember that even Thursday in Lagos are already sanitation days in our markets and business places and how much has that helped .. Ambode tried to bring modern approach to cleaning Lagos but stupid dull Lagosians resisted it to the core and instead started dumping dirt in the middle of the road to embarrass the govt .

No.

No other nation in the world restrict movement just to clear waste or dirt.

An efficient waste management system is what is needed not environmental sanitation days.
