Liverpool FC wasted no time in heading home from Madrid after clinching their sixth Champions League trophy.

The players and officials landed back at John Lennon airport before heading off for their victory parade.

Just as they did on the pitch at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium last night, the players made sure everyone had a chance to pose for a photo with Old Big Ears.

They played the entertaining part of the football in the semi-final. They needed not to do that in the final, what mattered most at that point was winning the trophy which they did. You don't run after a round leather object for 90 minutes without a game plan.
