There was a previous report that stated that President Buhari had approved the establishment of state and local government police. The president does not have the power to create state police it must be approved by the national assembly and knowing them it will take years for it to be approved S 214 (1) of 1999 Const states: "There shall be a police force for Nigeria, which shall be known as the NPF, and subject to the provisions of this section no other police force shall be established for the Federation or any part thereof." Approved or not approved is not my problem. My concern is that, I hope these state and local govt police won't be abuse by these selfish governors if approval is finally given.. .. Hmmm.. I reserve my comment till I see how they will be armed... It is well.. My signature trend talks about company registration.. Done more than 200 jobs for our fellow nairalanders. |
