Hey,
Welcome. It’s nice to have you here.
To start with your need to read from the previous editions/sets/stages/part. This is part 6. Start from 4. You need to read a lot before you start asking questions tho. It might be a whole lot to assimilate at the beginning but I implore you to read as much as you can.

Admission letter-AL

So you go online search for daad, masters portal.

Then filter for using masters, English, you’ll understand these things as long as you have the determination to.

I believe in you, we all believe in you. Read read read l

If you really want to go for a nursing degree In germany I’d advise you learn german here in Nigeria till atleat B1 level. I don’t think you would see any school that teaches nursing in English language over there

That's like searching for a white rhinoceros.

Advices have been given
1. Learn German up to B2 level. Then apply for studienkolleg, and read read cos they say its kinda hard. Their medical courses there are solely taught in German. You'd be interacting with patients who don't speak English at all.. So how are you gonna treat them if you don't understand what they say?
2. If you insist on English taught nursing program, look towards USA and Canada. I think I've mentioned that to you before.

Incase you want more details on studying in Germany as you said you're a newbie, start reading the thread from page 1. You'll find a plethora of answered questions.

To be blunt its not fair wen u book without AL, I have someone who got his admission in may, booked and got first week of August whereas the school deadline is 30 Aug, just imagine if your date was given to him, let's not be selfish, it's not going to get us anywhere, remember that date u are throwing away, someone's life depends on it

Good evening GREAT GURUS in the room.

I did my certification today at the German Embassy and will sending my certified copies to Uni Assist and to University of Duisburg-Essen.

I also saw block account fee and appointment as well, Am I suppose to open block account and also book appointment for block account now or wait till AL drops? The fee is #8400.

My Uni Assist application is showing incomplete application because of certified hard copies that I am yet to send them although I got a mail from them requesting that I should forward it to them. I hope they will continue processing my application once they have my hard copies?

Finally if anyone is in Lagos sending his application to Uni Assist lets share the cost using DHL and I want to know other cheap courier that will take 3 working days to get to Uni Assist.

Thanks for your assist so far family!

@bolded 1, what course are you applying to at University of duisburg-essen?

@bolded 2, don't stress yourself with opening blocked account with deutsche Bank. There are more convenient options like Fintiba and Coracle. Go to playstore and download fintiba app. Register for a blocked account with fintiba basic. Upload all required information and documents. It's not compulsory to wait till AL comes before you open the account, but you should wait till your interview is assured, maybe 2-3 weeks before the interview, then you fund the account. The basic amount is €8640, with other charges, just prepare for about €8900 on the max.

@bolded 3 uni-assist will start your processing when they receive both payment and documents. So if you've paid before, immediately your documents get there, processing starts. Its possible you don't see a reflection on your portal, but just chill, they'll work on it.

@bolded 4 FedEx, Ups, aramex(not sure of the spelling now) offer lower prices and same time of delivery with DHL. Look out for the nearest shop to you.

Thanks a lot..will open block account right away..

I have seen many people here opting out of BA for SL and my question is, do you need to fund your block account before booking appointment for block account? like you mentioned Fintiba and Coracle, do I still need to book appointment with german embassy after creating the account/funded?

Is like they are now doing subsidy for the block account amount. LMAO
My bruh, you can only walk before you run cheesy.
Please hold your money first and block when you are certain of admission and visa appointment.

And don't worry about Uni Assist, they will update your status and send respective mails to the regard. I had mine at "faulty" for months before they were done with my evaluation. Don't trip mehn.

There are many cheap courier services, I have heard of
Aramax located in VI but I can personally guarantee you of IBC logistics, located at 4, Ajumobi Olorunoge Street, off Acme road, Ikeja. 4days Max for #10k.

Flex.

Hello everyone, I must confess you all have contributed immensely to this forum. Please, I need a piece of candid and honest advice from all the elders and professionals in this forum. I have sought asylum in Belgium but refused and now I have gotten admission for master degree in Germany and I need to come back to Nigeria to apply for the visa. I have asked here and was told the asylum won't affect me going back to Nigeria to get a Germany student visa but I also advise from everyone here, do you guys think it is wise of me to come back. I really want to go for this study. Secondly can anyone please list all the documents I will need to take along with me for the visa interview? I only know of the admission letter, international passport, visa application form, passport photographs, confirmation of block account, all credentials. Please, can you guys help me complete it if I've omitted any. God bless you all. Thank you..
