I was praying through each contraction, confessing God's promises. When the contraction was consistent, I told hubby to carry bag to head to hospital. Just then, mil, who was a retired midwife came in. While I was being helped to the door, water broke and I was having urge to push and feeling something between. I was returned back to bed, hubby called doctor and a nurse was sent. (hospital was 10 minutes drive away).
Mil took the delivery before nurse came.
Baby came out at past 9am after a push. Baby weighed 3.5 with no tear. While I didnt have any s*x during this pregnancy, God made a way.
I bless God for this blessing. I was calculating this labour by my previous birth that lasted 36hours but God made this easy for me..

Please mamas wey do elective cs or emergency cs how long did you carry the plaster on the cut before you remove it. My doctor just dey put fear for my body. That i should take it this Sunday. Cs was on Saturday last week. I should not apply anything to it. To sleep na, na war, to wee nko problem it will be like my intestine want to drop. Abeg make una choke mouth ooo. The pain wey i feel now no small. Na rub and shine i still dey do. She said after Sunday i can have my normal bath

Most cs players are removed after 72 hours and not replaced or no problem.. Most people don’t go home with cs plasters again...

I had my girl on Friday afternoon, discharged on monday morning as early as 6:30am and had my plaster removed before I left and same for most of my patients and colleagues ...

You clean with towel and soap for about 2 weeks, at the end of which you are expected to go for your post natal visits and examination then you can be given go ahead to pour water.. it’s all in a bid to avoid wound break down.. the site should be cleaned with methylated spirit as many times as possible just like cord..

Sure your doctor as a reason for not opening the wound before discharge ...

You should start feeling better by now..
You are still expected to be on pain medications and not expected to have symptoms like that when urinating..

Please you might want to talk to the doctor to rule out urinary tract infections and check why the pain is still this much.. it gets better by the day..

Hope you are having enough time to rest because stress can make the drugs not work and make you achy too..

Just follow your doctor's instruction. I was discharged with plaster and asked to come for dressing every 2 (or 3) days. Plaster (and stitches) were removed 2 weeks after CS. You shouldn't have problems sleeping or weeing, please complain to your doctor ASAP

Thanks. Doc said i should come back after 6 weeks she will inject something in the area to aviod keloids occurring again and Since the incision does not have blood or pours. That I should remove it on Sunday. If i cant i should come she will do it herself .

Hell no, the way she yanked out the first plaster, jesu i find cry i no see. Without pity .

I know the first cs i did i went back in 2weeks for check up but this one style different. Thats why am skeptical about her method

You are welcome back my former teamie. Yes our children are now big boys and girl. Congratulations I wish you a successful and stress free pregnancy journey. My boots are hanged presently.lol

Missyblissy my own plaster was removed on day 5 even though doctor said remove earlier I didn’t answer and I was told not to cover or wear panties in that line so it can heal , I bought something called dressing pack from the hospital( medical grade gauze then no cotton wool) and no spirit although I was using spirit at first, I used medical grade Manuka honey because doctor said sterile water is the best but it makes no sense for me to open a pack of sterile water every day.
As for the pee yes I felt that type of pain too until after 7 days until it got better although that pain only comes at the point of pee , I never looked forward to peeing it was like a death sentence.
As for bathing no bathing until after about 10 days, just face towel soap and water to mop and clean up over and over again , I had check ups every Friday for 6 weeks.
In three weeks my wound had totally closed and I returned to work in three weeks and a few days.

Post natal visit for cs is 2 weeks post delivery and some hospital ask for a repeat visit at 6weeks while normal delivery is 6weeks post delivery..

Did you have keloids with your first?? And even at that, I don’t see a reason for injecting anything for keloid at 6weeks.. keloid will definitely form before then if it wants to..

According to your write up, there was no blood or pus during the first removal so I see no reason for putting another one but like I said earlier, she knows best her reasons for leaving the plaster in..

If you can, try and remove the plaster or ask for help if you can’t...

That been said, you need to speak out and let your doctor know your concern or ask for change if you are still not satisfied..

You have a right to good health care delivery ...

How’s the body pains and the ones you felt while urinating Please go back and complain if you have to.. There’s nothing like good health and we all need it..

Kaffy4bill chai that plaster removal is terrible , I will spend one hour removing it bit by bit , thing I’d there was fluid coming out of the site of incision I was told it’s normal and still not cover oh well I didn’t listen I kept on covering until doctor told me don’t cover again madam
Honestly the pain from CS is Terrible terrible terrible , but someone who did said she was given analgesics to numb the site up until one week post op so she didn’t really feel pains there , that was the first time I was hearing of that and honestly I won’t mind that for this one o

As kaffy stick to that choloroquine it doesn’t affect , the other option is arthemeter & lumefatrine which is dangerous, I was given Alpha beta artheether and had miscarriage as soon as I completed the course , kaffy said the truth just use the chloro

Thank you and many thanks to Kaffy4bill. I was in the hospital today to take the Chloroquine via drip, just got home. Hopefully I will begin to feel better soon.
