Pain around your rib area is nothing to worry about because of the growing uterus..

Use lots of pillow to support yourself when sleeping...

At this stage na the little one dey decide how person go lie down...

Good morning mommas and MTB. When i was about 5months pregnant, i used to experience swollen feet when i sit or stand for long but now that am few weeks to due date. I noticed that i dont experience it no matter how long i sit or stand. I only experience discomfort when i walk or sit for too long. I thought swollen ankle is part of the package at third trimester. Hope its ok not to experience swollen ankle at 8months plus. Team late june.

Those swollen ankles are a normal, though frustrating, woe for many expectant women. During pregnancy, the extra fluid in the body and the pressure from the growing uterus can cause swelling or edema in the ankles and feet.

For those experiencing it:Prop up your feet when sitting and avoid crossing your legs.

Edema accompanied by certain other symptoms can signal more serious underlying problems. Be on the lookout for more swelling in one leg than the other, accompanied by pain, which can signal a possible blood clot. A headache that won’t go away, along with vision changes (like blurriness or sensitivity to light), can be signs of preeclampsia (pregnancy-specific high blood pressure), and swelling accompanied by chest pains or difficulty breathing could mean heart trouble.

Contact your health-care practitioner immediately if you experience any of these additional symptoms...

If your doctor is saying your baby is big from a scan, did he order for a pelvimetry to check the type of pelvis you have and if the baby can pass through then you make an informed decision..

My second boy was born 4.2kg by vaginal delivery , the scan I did that morning have baby’s Weight as 3.1kg..

As much as late scan is not accurate in regards to weight and the competence of the Sonologist too matters .. Please instead of being scared, talk to your doctor about the options you have especially if this is your first...

If the tear is guided or planned, it’s neater and easier to repair.

Pele, the good thing is, once the degeneration is done it won't come back. In my time it's ordinary PCM I was given, I almost died and ressurected

I can only imagine the pain you are facing

Sorry about the pain, sadly there is nothing you can do about the pain from the degeneration. Best you can do is rest and follow your doctor's advise.

My sister, no be only you waka come o.. If I narrate my experience, you will shed tears for me. My own fibroid degeneration pain started last Saturday in the evening. I thought it was because I didn't eat on time. I was coping with the pains, couldn't sleep at all. It got to about 2am,I had to eat bread to allow me take paracetamol for the pains.

I took the pcm and the pain relieved me for a little while, and came back stronger. I started crying, my husband hadn't slept all night. He had to rush me to the hospital by past 4am.I was carried to the car, the pain did not even allow me stand.

When I got to the hospital, they administered rectal diclofenac suppository and pentacozin injection. It was then I literally came back to life. The pains subsided and I had to go for abdomino-pelvic scan to rule out appendicitis or kidney issues.
.

The scan came out clear and good. I was placed on admission that morning. The pains reduced, even though I was being given the pentacozin injection occasionally to numb the pain.Whenever I peed, the pain was as if a knife was cutting me up. I also observed that the pain comes in the evenings and it doesn't allow me eat.
.

Let's just say God used the doctors there and their consultant gynecologist to save me. That pain can kill if not managed well, paracetamol cannot do anything when it starts. When I was a bit relieved, I googled how safe the drugs and injection I was being given was for my baby. The gynae told me in this case the benefits of administering those nsaids and opiates drugs or injections outweighs the risk of not using it because the pains can affect even the baby and some vital organs.

The last episode some days back was so bad, I had to be given tramadol because the gynae said I can't keep taking the diclofenac suppository to avoid miscarriage. Me that was speaking English about the safety of the drugs, I was the one asking for all of them to be given to me so I can be relieved.

My husband had to call the gynae aside to ask him to tell him the truth. That if we have to evacuate the pregnancy to stop the pains, he won't second guess it so he doesnt lose me. That he can't have me live with pains like that for 9 months. The gynae had to convince him that whenever the pains comes, that if it's very severe I should be brought to the hospital. That it can be managed until delivery.
So far the nsaids were able to stop the pain. I have been off all pain meds and injections for about 4 days now and I only feel normal pregnancy cramps.

One thing I know is that once I am able to deliver this baby safely, I am going in for surgery to have the fibroids removed. I don't pray to experience that pain again and I pray it is gone for good.

Yes mama, its a flexible job.. 6month leave but as it is, na 5month cus I left a month earlier nd I can take LO to work when I resume back.. My sister, I cud not risk my health, am always weak.

Congrats mama, continue with ur hollandia. I switched to viju youghurt nd can't do without it since I got Preg, its also nice nd less sugary abit compare to hollandia..

Am a FTM also, I eat ooo. Asin when I say I eat, I eat lol.. Hubby as talked tire, but I can't starve myself na, baby will kick me till I eat.. Pls watch ur junks intake, my doc said pikin wey go fat go fat no matter how I starve myself.. But still am watchful sha, u can reduce d yoghurt intake..
