I don't know where you got that from
BUILD is relative. The problem is, SOME men have been so deluded into thinking BUILD is just finance. Whereas lots of them move about with psychological, emotional, moral and social deficiencies.

let's tell ourselves the truth here.
Would you marry or be with a man that has all those qualities you put up there but fails woefully in being a bread winner?
A man can learn all of that in a jiffy but knowing how to make money takes a lifetime wink

Thinking those qualities are mutually exclusive is another problem, one that needs building too. wink

of course you know this isn't true!
A man can be all that and can't make any money.
As a matter of fact, men that don't make money are the champions in being all of that.real talk.
So Yeah, they can be "mutually exclusive"....
By the way that was a smart way to pull out of the real question.
I'll ask again, would you marry or be with a man that is all of that but can't make any money? wink

I wonder where you got all that crap from.maybe that is something you would do,I wouldn't!
You just don't come and start nagging me,insulting me,making me feel less human and so forth in the name of "independent woman"....I won't take that!that is what I meant.
And Yeah,it happens all the time, that is why brothers don't bring women over here no more!
You ain't smarter than all of the guy d here na grin even doctors here and well to do guys no longer import women from home in the name of marriage, check the stats!
every post you make continues to highlight the flaw in your reasoning. maybe you are not misognystic [so you claim] - but you are clearly contemptuos of women, and it continues to show. ïmport women from home. basically, to take your own statement, you get a mail order bride - preferably one as unemacipated as possible, because you don't want to deal with akata/oyibo woman wahala. you want a woman from home who knows her place. of course you all keep forgetting the calculation that people will change according to their environment. the woman is no longer in nigeria where her mother, pastor , friends, sister and coworkers will tell her she must endure; it is her fate. sh is in america working with emancipated women. when those ones hear of her troubles they will tel her hit the road. they will tell her to ride the prick and cu-m first. import all you want, unless you can lock your import in your yard, story will still change.

funnily enough, a lot of my friends are in obodo oyibo with ladies they wifed from naija. my sis is in yankee with her husband. she is a doctor and almost certainly earning more than him. none of these people have any problems.

Did the husband make/train your sister to be a doctor?
If not, oops!you missed my point again.
We are humans and we expect courtesy from wherever we make investment.
If I made your sister a doctor,do you think I will be happy if she files for divorce because I litter our house with my dirty clothes or don't replace the butter knife on the shelf? undecided

i have an example from friends who are now divorced. the guy was passed over for a promotion in the office, vexed, and resigned. the wife was in pwc, and she connected her husband to a client who was looking for a legal head. end of story, the guy was hired as the head of legal in that company. unfortunately, the same ego that [imho] messed up their marriage messed up his job. he is on his own now. the ex-wife's career has soared since then.

either husband or wife can build the other by trying to funnel opportunities to each other.

one out of 1 billion.
Poor stats again!
And would you say this woman built that man?
It was a job connection, not like she built him na.
Would the new company make the man their legal head if he didn't possess the values someone competent enough to occupy that position should?

my sister went to america as her husbands wife. it was his visa. they even gave them tough time in embassy. basically had to do wedding twice so there would be evidence. when she came in she had to take exams before she could practice. so on whose dime was the initial investment?'

please stop being ridiculous. you think it is actually such frivolous things people get divorced for?

there are plenty of them everywhere. it depends on the circles you run in. the word you are looking for is aje-buta. it is all these pako [broke] chicks and guys who have been in want all their lives who see everything in purely transnational [poverty mentality] terms - be it sex, marriage, etal

BUILD has now become a very confusing term for y'all.
I won't go back and forth on this but that woman did not build that man.i wonder why it is so hard for you guys to see.
Also,I wonder where you got the poverty mentality talk from.
Don't àssume too much, you might be wrong most times.

i have spent the last month or so investing myself into my kids STEAM skills.
changed their laptops, bought hardware, bought lapdesk.

last weeked i was up from 11pm configuring and setting up their systems
this weekend i was up setting up accessories
I and my son were up at one am yesterday trying to get krita to work with his wacom tablet. [he has a clear drawing talent]
i am going to see how i can sort out their mbot

what am i trying to do - i am trying to build them based on skills i have seen they have, and resources available to me[disposable income and IT skills]. basic finance is easy peasy - pay for school fees and you're done.

the same applies to husband/wife etal. there are things you can do/invest yourself in that can boost your spouse profile. it is not just injecting money. i could have spent the weekend watching some of my five year movie backlog, or playing games, or being at work in the field

right now, i am downloading and organizing tutorial videos

Congratulations
Now, move on with your life and try to stop bringing your issues on NL. This rebuttal was not necessary as it serves no purpose other than to tell NLers that you have your papers now.
However, don't forget nobody cares, unless you equally derive joy from the drama. See it all as water under the bridge.
It is left for you now to raise your children properly. If i remember correctly from the last thread opened by your friend, your ex husband has also equally moved on with his life and is possibly remarried to another woman from another African nation. Why do you still then care about this dissolved union/ex that you keep making referrals to it? You don't need validation from nobody on NL. Las Las, everybody go dey alright

If I was the type of person to come here to start cutting some people to size, I would have been doing so already. I got enough ammo & still know exactly where to get my refills.
But who cares?

Which is why I wonder why some will just willingly bring their private business online for public consumption when they are not celebrities.
