Senator Ahmed Lawan of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday emerged as the Senate president of the 9th Senate. Lawan beat Senator Ali Ndume with total votes of 79 to 28.

In a video ripped by Mandynews.com, Senator Ahmed Lawan takes Oath of allegiance as the Senate President of the 9th Assembly and the 14th Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I remember few years back when prince secondus emerged as the national chairman of pdp. All the ibos were jubilating as if pdp and ibo have won Nigeria presidential election.
