Pls can you help me with the material you use. Here is my mail Niyideji@gmail.com. Thanks
careerwoman:
Silent reader, been here since 2016.
Glory to God!!
Wrote ielts on 23rd May (1st attempt).
LRWS 8.5/9/7.5/7.5
I started preparing two weeks to the exam with intense practice 5 days to the test day.
I used Jay’s YouTube videos for speaking (this didn’t help me that much on test day especially in Part 1 and 3), ielts made easy pdf for writing (finished the book in one sitting), practice questions on ielts-up.com for listening and reading (I love this website because the practice texts were well simulated and this made me very comfortable on test day) Listening and Reading were my strongholds.
I practiced with 30mins for Reading so on the test day, I finished within 40mins.

Reading technique I employed: I read the questions first, then skim and scan for the paragraphs with the key words in the question. It proved very effective on test day.

Listening: Maximum concentration and knowledge of a wide range of synonyms.

Writing: I wrote only two essays before my test just because I was too lazy to write anything. However, I read a wide range of essays and articles online and in a Cambridge book (Band 9 essays, can’t remember the exact name) I also read ielts made easy and learnt how to incorporate linking phrases and all. On test day, my paragraphing was really poor but I think I wrote fairly well as that was the only thing I was worried about.

Speaking: I was very anxious and time flew very fast. I was in despair after the test because I really didn’t expect the questions.
Finally, I PRAYED and PRAYED.. I’m Catholic so I did a novena to St. Joseph of Cupertino. That exam prayer does work wonders!!
Currently awaiting ECA from MCC..

CRS: 456 (single, recent graduate, 1yr work experience) smiley praying for ITA to locate me when I’m ready. Thank you Jesus

Its been a while i've been here. I can see the ministry is really moving to permanent site.

What gladdens my heart the most is the fact that the PPR script marking has remained.

Thanks to the Nairaland Canadian Family (NCF)... God bless you all.

Dear All,

Trust you are having a good day. I have been reading up a lot about the Express Entry from here and would like to seek your advice.

My husband, who is not the PA, has a mistake on his WAEC result. Instead of Feb 4, it is showing June 25 but it is the same year. We have gone to WAEC office and he was told that the possibility of it being rectified is slim because it has been over 17 years. I am confused as to proceeding with his WES evaluation and the EE profile when we create one.

What should we do?

Thank you for your help.

Good morning all. Please a friend of mine has just gotten her unilag Masters and has applied for SOR. I have advised her to use WES as against the ICES she opted for being that she already evaluated her Bsc last year with the former. She's worried about the waec verification, for lack of time to move about(New job). I wasn't aware that an upgrade would require waec. Please I know there was someone here who was helping completely with the waec verification for a fee but I cant seem to locate any of his posts. If you can help with it and or have used him please kindly help. Thank you.

I'd say there are More than a way to it: if he's willing to go tru the Waec wahala, then he can go with Wes, but if not ices is fine , but he must be ready to pass the accompanying test of patience. I jejely went with ices and got my report in 12 weeks 5 days

Hello guys. Welldone for the good works. I am new here. And I'll like to please ask some questions.
1. I have BSc Zoology and PGDE and I also bake cakes and other snacks. I'm thinking of going through SINP EE stream as a baker. But the problem is I've not worked under anyone as a baker except during my 1 year apprenticeship. Please house what should I do.

2. I'm not in the express entry pool yet because WES is yet to receive my Waec report but my score was 382 when I calculated it.

Please I need advice...thanks

Celebrating small victories

I applied online since January 30th and 31st for transcript & statement of results from unilag. By March, I visited records office to find out. God granted me favour with the staff in charge who assisted me with my transcripts within 3 days. After a week, before my SoR was also sent which was both in April. The wait started with Ices. This morning, I just felt the urge to send a mail stating that it's almost 14weeks which wasn't completely true. They responded by 2pm that my report is complete and ready to be couried later this week or early next week.

Wow! The feeling is indescribable. Crs sitting at 475. Booking medicals for ending this month or early next month. I have almost finished gathering documents for submission as am sure of ita.

Follow me and thank God for small victories.

Have you taken IELTS? If no, try simulating with at least 8777 (LRWS) and see if the CRS improves. Also use two or more certificates for the simulation since you have a BSc and PGD. Keep in mind that you will need an ECA for both of your degrees if you want to use this route (if you haven't done this already)

SINP requires that your course of study matches your work experience...

I think refused entry is quite different from visa refusal.
Gurus in the house can confirm this as I am not sure.
know:
Please house, My spouse updated her profile as a newly wed, added me to the application and we've now submitted the ADRs. Now, the issue is,I was once denied a US visa and I dint actually see where I should indicate that have been refused entry into Canada or any other country on the schedule A form. Pls,what I can do right now to correct that error before it's too late.

I'm not sure about the commitment level of other departments in terms of processing transcripts.

We're very optimistic WES will evaluate it positively. I'll update on my ECA outcome once my evaluation report is ready.

For SINP, degree and work experience must match. Do you have Diploma or Vocational Certificate in pastry or baking? Your one year apprenticeship should be enough. Check Saskatchewan site for information.

Thanks ladymarshall, but if there's draw tomorrow will miss it because the report hasn't landed Naija. Ices doesn't send electronic copy but 2 hard copies. So no ita tomorrow for me but the next draw after tomorrow definitely will get ita.
Am arranging documents for submission now which is almost ready. Booking medicals now with Qlife.
