Just go about your businesses as usual. Excel as usual. Keep on keeping on as usual.

In 2023, if Nigeria is still one, the north and SW will definitely need your votes to make any headway.

SW wants presidency then
North also wants to retain the presidency then also
The SE has the strongest claim to the presidency then, as well

But they will wrongly or rightly figure that they (the north and SW) control all the levers of power and as such with their right of conquest, they can also aspire for the presidency. Which is fine.

They will come to the SE to make all manner of pleas. It will be interesting to see how the north and SW will be able to extricate themselves from complicity in the recently observed marginalisation of the SE.
Both will try to claim that it was the fault of the other.
The SW will try to remind the SE that north champions the Fulani herdsmen menace and are solely responsible for the currently observed SE marginalisation
The North will claim that the marginalisation was actually carried out by SW. But the east will proverbially have the yam and the knife at this stage. Add this to the fact that the east has the greatest moral claim to the 2023 presidency.

It will be interesting. The east is used to marginalisation since July 1966. They will not mind going through that, if it gets them something in the future. The question is then this: Will the Yorubas be alright with northerners carrying on as presidents of Nigeria beyond 2023? Time will tell.

Alternatively, will the north fair well in an Igbo presidency if Yorubas support an Igbo president? Will the Igbo president get rid of every Fulani judge and high ranking military man e.t.c if he takes over, just the same way the current fulani president has done to the Igbos? Again time will tell.

But one thing I know for certain is that the Igbo will rather have another Fulani president in 2023 than a Yoruba president. Now this assertion, you can take to a non-GTB bank cool cool cool

Whatever height of hatred you have in you against the Yorubas, I hope it doesn't kill you. No one has any moral right to become President, if you have high-grade minds fit for the position, push th forward and sell them to the people.

I just can't pin-point any Easterner, as at today, who can stand toe-to-toe with some Yoruba politicians who've been there and done that.

Let's wait and see.

Let us not deceive ourselves, no southerner be it SS, SW or SE will ever rule Nigeria again through the ballot except by accident( Yar'Adua-Jonathan type) or by coup d'etat which is 90% IMPOSSIBLE.

Take this to Fidelity Bank.

OP is an afonja and also the same person as the second poster. What they do is open a thread pretending to be Igbo for nairaland traffic as anything Igbo sells, and then, they use their other account to reply " height of hatred for yorubas will kill you." Let me tell you something afonjas, the last thing on an Igbo man's mind is an afonja. In fact we value our business more than you people! Get that into your mining coneskulls and stop roping children of God into your uselessness!

I lived with Afonjas for 20 yrs, so I know how they reason!

Nwannem nwoke, I can assure you I am a core Igbo man. Possibly more Igbo than you.

My point is that the current happiness of Yorubas and Fulanis over the marginalisation of Igbos will disappear in 2023, when they come "cap in hand" begging Igbos for votes. That is if Nigeria still remains one till then.

So in 2023, let me not hear Yorubas say that it is the turn of Southerners.
If fairness and justice will not allow you to appreciate the Igbo argument, then Fulanis have as much right as Yorubas to aspire for the 2023 presidency

Definitely. Anyone has the right to come out to contest regardless of tribe and religion. Let's stop this nonsense zoning that does no one any good.

I don't seem to understand my igbo brothers again oo. Why are you guys crying as if SW is in direct competition with you? Are you guys expecting APC (the party you called all sorts of unprintable names)to give their presidential ticket to an eboe person? You guys have the highest stake in PDP so you should be able to clinch their 2023 presidential ticket and slug it with a Yoruba APC candidate in the polls.

YES, they do.

That's why your almajiri parents and their slaves decided to abandon computer assitance. Let's hope Atiku is able to gain access into it.

SE and SS people are not as sparse as people may think. And they are everywhere. Let the computer reveal its secrets grin grin grin

I don't think I mentioned Hausa.

SS will never kneel to Buhari, the way Omo-Agege did so we all know he does not represent SS. Also bear in mind that Omo-Agege betrayed GEJ by supporting Buhari against GEJ in 2015
You saw what SS people did to Akpabio? Does that seem like people who are willing to cow-tow to Buhari?

So in that sense, SS people are very much more like SE people, and we are in this together.

Tinubu and Omo-Agege kneel to Buhari. Real SS and SE people don't

You must be a Hollywood addict with the payback time mantra. Guy, politics is a game of numbers and as it is no tribe can win on their own, you have to lias with another tribe to make any meaningful headway.

Whatever happens, let the most qualified win and lead us. You're not too old or young to contest, don't you think?

You did not mention Hausa but u mentioned almajiri. Whether anyone kneel down for anybody or not, it doesn't remove anything from me. I don't depend on any politician. But ibos should stop blaming any other tribe for their problem. They caused their own problem.
