The South East and all of Ndigbo are a very important member of the Nigerian union. And is rightfully so.

But lately the hatred and unguarded emotions and voices of some has continued to alienate Ndigbo from the rest of nation. It now seems if you are an Igboman and you are not hating on Nigeria, you are the enemy.

Granted, our country Nigeria (like any other country out there) has many challenges and I strongly believe together we can find a common ground and solutions to them.

I believe the day Ndigbo through an organisation like Ohaneze, make a declaration like the one below in bold, Ndigbo can start the process of reclaiming its position in the scheme of things. It will also be the time other Nigerians will start giving an Igboman a benefit of the doubt.

That we, Ndigbo are 100% Nigerians. We have no other country except Nigeria. That we are not just surviving in Nigeria, but we are committed to join other Nigerians from all parts of the Federation to build the Nigeria of our collective aspiration. That we forgive those that have hurt and offended us in the past and ask never again. We are proudly Nigerians.

At the very least say this to ourselves and teach our people the same, the hate will die down, love, unity and development will grow. Nigeria will be greater than ever.

Take for instance you are already resuming I am Yoruba. That level of programming is destructive.

You are ranting for yourself on Nairaland - NOT FOR NDIGBO IN NIGERIA.

YOU CANNOT IMPOSE UNITY.

YOU CANNOT HAVE UNITY WITHOUT PEACE.

AND YOU CANNOT HAVE PEACE WITHOUT JUSTICE.

IGBOS WERE HATED IN NIGERIA BEFORE NIGERIA'S INDEPENDENCE.

IN FACT, EVEN THE COLONIAL BRITAIN HAD A HARD TIME WITH THE IGBOS.

YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE IGBOS ARE FREE INDIVIDUALS.

OPPRESSORS AND THE OPPRESSED NATURALLY RESENT FREE INDIVIDUALS.

Yet, in spite of all of these negative vibes directed at Igbo's across the country, NDIGBO remain the MOST INTEGRATED ethnic group in Nigeria.

Show me one Yoruba or Hausa person who stutters the Igbo language, and I will show you 100 Igbo's who speak BOTH Hausa and Yoruba languages fluently.

In conclusion, if you think that you will be accepted by dissing NDIGBO on Nairaland or elsewhere, then you are terribly uninformed.

Igbophobia is one major factor that unites the rest of Nigeria. And you have been infected by it.

Who is this baskat?

Don't drag Ndi Igbo into your madness.

Buhari is the president, mention one Northern state that is developing faster than Ebonyi in terms of private investments.

We don't need your stupid validation.

Your fathers burnt down the East during the war but we are at par with every bleeping region in this country within 50 years and in the next 25 years, we would overtake all.

We don't depend on the government to thrive. Let this sink into your afonjaic skull.

This is the problem though u claim to be Igbo..
A typical Igbo man, cannot lobby to be loved or asslick..we're not known for eye service we say it as it is.
We've been with the previous governments but not Buhari, why? because we see through him,we know his intentions and he hasn't proved us wrong.
They same way Buhari feels about the Igbos,is how we feel for him.. so the feeling is mutual.

We won't buttlick, even those asslicking how easy has it been for them? Fulani marauders are now their neighbours.

How can u accept hate when nigeria cant accept the wrong they have done to igbos

Nigeria should list the offence they have committed against igbos and apologize then change then see if igbos wont be the most petrotic region in nigeria

Trying to force tge igbo man by starving him of political position is not going to work instead it would push more people to dislike nigeria

I already did. Go and check it out. You are on the wrong side of Igbo history. Justifying nonsense makes you appear disgusting.

For example, the North East is being rebuilt as we speak, despite the fact that the war on terror over there is still raging. They even formed a North East commission for that purpose.

But the East which was internationally destroyed by the federal government during the civil war is still largely abandoned 50 years after. The so called 3 Rs initiative only did very little reconstruction projects for a while and was mostly used for mere propaganda.

And recently when the bill for south east reconstruction commission was presented it was shut down before it even had a chance to pass.

It has become easier to hate and be at arms length. You can't have Justice, love or acceptance while busy nursing hate.

Yet you go about complaining of not being accepted while holding tenaciously to hatred.

The Igbos scattered all the chances themselves.. Also allowing non Igbos pretend to be Igbos to lead them to a cause that makes a mojor majority tribe minor minority.

Senate Oresidency is the most Igbos can shoot for in 2023 unless they all register to vote and support Ezekwesili in 2023!

No other credible individual in the east with her typa clout!

Normally 2023 ought to be the perfect time for an Igboman or woman to be President of Nigeria. But with deep seated hate like you see above, how do you get the Votes.

Even as an Igboman, I can't even get my people to look pass the hate - how much more an outsiders.

Something has to be done, it definitely involve Ndigbo looking pass the past and embracing Nigeria completely.

Little kiddo, you are the one running around and complaining everywhere.

For example, you created this thread to rant. No one forced you to do it.

Secondly, you seem to have an issue with basic logic. If you knew what justice really is, you'd also know that it cannot be justly withheld from anyone regardless of what they did, who they resent or how they feel.

Thirdly, rather than ranting about Igbo's gripping on hatred (which is a lie and is not supported by any verifiable evidence), equity demands that you first identify the origin of that hate and what's fuelling it, and then address it justly from the roots.

But you cannot do any of that.

It's easier for you (like it is for many other Nigerians) to play the classic card of blaming the Igbo's for the logical consequences of your own actions or that of those you endorsed.

Get a life please.

When the Israelites wanted out in Egypt, they packed their luggage and left. They where not dragging plots of land with the Egyptians.

Anyone who wants to travel out of Nigeria is free to do so. Nigeria will not divide. Nigeria' territorial integrity will be protected at all cost.

Nigerians will unite to make our country better, while those who prefer to hate can keep at it.

God bless Nigeria.

Igbos are no ASS-LICKERS.

Igbos are the God's chosen people, just like the Israelites. They can survive any situation which other ethnic groups may not be able to.

Igbos are extremely industrious and hard working people and respect only those that respect them.

Igbos can survive without the rest of Nigeria, just as they did after the Civil War.

We are proudly Igbo and we have no apologies for detesting those that hate us and wish to exterminate us.

Nigeria will never know peace until the injustices being meted against the Igbos are addressed.

Igbos believe in a Nigeria that will treat ALL her citizens equally.

We shall NEVER lick the ass of the wicked.

The rest of Nigeria should face their own businesses and leave Igbos alone.

By ignoring your faulty foundation you'd only end up experiencing a colossal and fatal collapse.

Pretending that your faulty foundation does not exist simply because you are craving to see a skyscraper on the land is not being visionary. It's lunacy.

Ever wondered which of your ancestors agreed to be called a Nigerian prior to Lugard's invention of 1914?

Ever wondered why your country HAD to go into civil war within the first 7 years of its independence?

Ever wondered why your country claim to be a federal system, and yet still operates a unitary system in the most dangerously diverse country on earth?

As I said, being ignorant of your faulty foundation does not give you a bliss or make you smart. It only makes your doomsday certain.

There is no Country in the world that had a german-floor for a foundation. Everyone made do with what life and providence handed them.

If you want things to be better, you must proudly join every one else in building the Nigeria we will love. You can't stand at the side and badmouth it throughout your life.

The first step to REbuilding may be ADMITTING that your original foundation is faulty. And , for that reason, your treasured structure will have to be pulled down?

Would you agree to that?

If not, then you have zero case against sane people who refuse to join you in whitewashing and celebrating the doomed structure.

I do agree that Nigeria as a nation need to tender an unreserved apology to Ndigbo. I personally lost a sister during the war and over 2 million people died.

I also share the believe that Ndigbo have to completely embrace being Nigerians. This seems to be where you disagree with me.

Both goes together. The Igbo saying regarding the right and left hands washing each other comes to mind.

Who were the architects of this faulty foundation? Can you absolve the people who killed off political leaders of a country barely six years old? Can you absolve the people who bastardized a carefully negotiated constitution and turned into something unrecognizable?
It is amazing that the Ibos who were the prime actors in derailing the dreams of a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria are now the same people who are preaching hate and disunity all over the place.
