When it suits northerners, they say religion doesn't matter, as long as the person is capable. Hypocritical fxcks.

In fact, most ppl usu assume their muslim first names are nicknames until they tell you they are Muslims.

Marginalisation because she is Christian in a Muslim-dominated area. The State House of Assembly have since recommended her but the governor no gree approve. dat governor no be am. Same thing with Onnoghen fiasco at the centre who has eventually been ousted on corruption charge excuses - when all of them from the Executive to Legislature to Judiciary are invariably corrupt.
Which ousted? The president has accepted his voluntary retirement which means the case is as dead as dodo. He'll go home with all his benefits. I only pity those who were shouting onnoghen bdc then as it's obvious they were just wasting their time then

Yet you are crying over another man's problems in far away kebbi state where Christians are very few like 0.0000000001% .....so is being in opposition now an avenue to just talk without reasoning?

Obainoneandonly:
it definitely has something to to with her faith,if it were to b d oda way round, her confirmation would have been done and dusted. the way some people are playing the ethnic and religious card openly lately is very alarming.

But in the petition Mrs Karatu wrote to NJC, the judge also made case against the appointment of Justice Mohammed Sulaiman Ambursa to replace her for allegedly being corrupt and friends with politicians.

This judge is hurting herself and limiting her chance of being confirmed. See how she's assassinating someone else's character!

Three things here:

1. I would be so disappointed should the issue of religious bias be true. Senator (Governor) Atiku Bagudu is a gentleman and a man who has a very broad world view and does not discriminate. He, and his wife, the medical doctor, are very liberal; they befriend Nigerians of different tribes and religions. I know this...

2. She clearly stated that most of the victims of Justice Ambursa were Muslims. Thus suggests that Justice Ambursa is only using religion to fester his own nest for selfish reasons!

3. Kebbi state, especially the Zuru axis, is a very interesting part of the North West. In that state, regarding the two famous brothers who are Generals, Ishaya Bamaiyi and Musa Bamaiya one is a Muslim and the other is a Christian.

Discrimination on the basis of religion, tribe, or political party/affiliations does no country any good.

It's toxic!

I pray that Justice Karatu will get justice (if her assertions are true)...

In most areas of the core North, churches are located on one street and the Govt will not issue permit for building of churches except mosques. Buhari has taking it to the national level

I concluded before reading the post that it is because the petitioner was a Christian seeing the headline, and I was never disappointed reading the post because it affirmed my curiosity. This country cannot move forward with this kind of backward religious disposition being played here. Lady, they are only trying to deny you the benefit of being a former chief judge, since you are retiring next month. But don't worry, great is your reward in heaven for embracing Christianity. God be with you
