It's not a kiss as in kissing. It's a peck. Lots of people do it, some do it because of religion like Catholics, some because they are being playful with the baby, some out of admiration, some to familiarize themselves so the baby won't cry etc. Could be on the cheek, forehead, or face generally, but not on the lips. Only the parents kiss their babies on the lips. But the point here is, don't let strangers or relatives with wayward lifestyles kiss your baby. Even parents with wayward lifestyles can transmit STDs to their child. So it's not just a problem with strangers slone.
