Just completed my first e-commerce website after studying for a year plus, check out here grocenda.ga

Cool, but I can't put items in the cart. Its showing some firebase auth stuff.

On clicking add it will redirect you to login before adding to cart, I didn't use any framework actually, just pure vanilla JavaScript and firebase

Nice. Its been long I coded in vanilla js. I use vuejs .makes coding easier and more efficient.

I'm pretty new to web development, I really want to have a good foundation of JavaScript before jumping into framework, but when i'm ready I'll go with react.

I read html, CSS and JavaScript tutorials from tutorialpoint and I also used w3school a lot too. For the firebase they have good documentation on their site and a YouTube channel. To visit site go to grocenda.ga

thx for the tip, i've updated the site to let customers add to cart without login with the help of cookies, clear your cache to view changes.

Hello Jabbi nice one. It is great you built your website from scratch.I notice Nigerians like to play with colour on some websites that needs to be simple but very effective. It is best to always compare what type of website you are building with what is already out there. For example you are building an eCommerce website for a supermarket it is best to check https://www.asda.com/ ,https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/ to see how things are done and take it from there. Except the customer states otherwise.

Also,this applies to fonts too. Try and use fonts used in the more global market.

I have been used to building website using wordpress themes ,here is one of my websites ( https://www.bespokiet.com/ )but now I want to do things from scratch like you. I am getting good at building everything offline.But my problem is how to I connect it to a domain name,so it can be viewed by everyone like yours.

So basically,I need step by step help on how to put all my files into the website name folder. Please let me know if you can help or if anyone can put me through.

Not even a penny, its free hosting and free backend from google.
