Good day nairalanders...

I was planning on leaving Nigeria for a year just to relax in one of our African countries...

I was thinking about Algeria... I don't have any knowledge about flight or anything that relates to it.. I have people to discuss this with but I don't want people around to know my intentions of leaving the country... So I'll really appreciate to get a few details about how to go from here ..

I'm not going in search of a job or something.... I just need a cool place to relax for a whole year...

I just need to know more about my plans, budget and how to go about it... I was actually considering Algeria or Zimbabwe in tearms of cheapest countries...

I'll appreciate your knowledge...

THANKS

First thing you should be considering is a country where you speak the language. Second thing is a better quality of life relative to your budget, followed by Security.

If you're a Nigerian, I don't think you should even be considering Algeria or any North-Africa country.

My considerations will be Rwanda, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania and Ivory Coast if you speak French.

If communication barrier could be a problem, the countries you listed below, are they safe to relax?...

How do I go about it, and what's the budgeted cost for any you have full details about?

I'm sure Rwanda, Botswana and Tanzania are three of the safest top 5 countries in Africa. I'll be biased towards Kigali in Rwanda or Nairobi, Kenya though.

I don't know much about the cost of living. Check the travel section threads on nairaland. You'll get firsthand advices from reading the threads.
