I have three questions to ask as I didn't follow the news from beginning.

What took the girl to that hotel room except if they kidnap her.

What was the girl relationship with them.

How does she end up drinking the drink.

That is what we see, just because they are children of the wealthy their names should be struck out from any wrong doings.

After assaulting, drugging and raping a young girl. Who heals the heart brokenness the young girl is going through. Let justice be done at least for once and let the offender know that money cannot buy back what they took from that girl.

What am I even saying, is it not this evil generation. The girl could not have been raped if she did not follow the men to an hotel.

The girl or her family were probably paid or threatened...

But as previously stated, her “withdrawal” will have NO legal effect, because it’s a criminal case. However, it might more be difficult to prosecute and secure a conviction when you her a non-cooperating witness/complainant who’s testimony is vital to proofing the allegations.

For the case to be in court she would have made written statements to the police which would have been handed over to the public prosecutor.

Lizzysamuel:
The Lagos State Government has said that in spite of a letter of withdrawal by the complainant in a rape case, it was resolute to bring the two defendants to face justice.

The defendants are Don-Chima George, 25, and Olusegun Rasak, 28, both dropouts from Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo in Ogun.

The duo are facing trial before an Ikeja High Court for allegedly drugging and raping a 24-year-old woman at a hotel in Lekki Phase One, Lekki, Lagos.

During previous court proceedings on June 13, the complainant via a letter of withdrawal, dated June 3, informed the court that she wanted the criminal case against the defendants withdrawn.

She said the reason for her intention to withdraw the case was due to “intervention of family members and for the sake of my integrity”.

However, at the start of proceedings on Tuesday, Mr Akin George, a Deputy-Director in the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, informed the court that Lagos State would continue the prosecution of the defendants.

“At the last adjourned date, my lord said that the state should get feedback from the ministry of justice on how to proceed with this case.
“The instruction from the solicitor-general and the permanent secretary of the ministry of justice is that we should go ahead with the prosecution.

“The witness is already in the box and she should continue with her evidence,” he said.

But she has since subsequently sought to “withdraw” her complaint...
Accordingly, she will likely be at best a reluctant, and at worst a “hostile”, witness.

They don’t need her as a witness, plus they have evidence she withdrew under duress. This is the state vs the boys now. By the way if the court ask you to testify and you lie or refuse. You can be arrested and jailed.

that lady can no longer control the case, whether she has been rewarded by the rapist's father or threatened.this will serve as a deterrent to rapists
