Sadly this vehicle has every warning light on, abs unit bypassed, and since I entered battery has been on empty and engine has been running consistently. This is not a good Ambasador cry

Was the dash board showing charging when braking or they bypassed the motor and engine system

For some divine reason, I just requested uber to yaba and guess what it is?

This is a sign from the gods.....

For clarification, I requested uber last tight to yaba, and vehicle that picked me up was a toyota camry 2007 HYBRID. It was in an abused state, but partly functional.

All through the journey, the engine was on, I guess driver spends more on fuel than regular gasoline vehicles.

Ah!! following from upcountry, Jos, to be precise. Interesting thread @Gazzuzz. You da man! Was thinking of getting a 2010 Camry with the LED reverse lights like the one pictured in one of Gazzuzz's posts. But definitely not hybrid. Overall, very interesting, informative and hilarious thread.
Jay say so!

you can get the hybrid now....
it has come to stay!
worst case scenario, you will use the vehicle to learn everything hybrid!

besides, I recently discovered that they hybrid batteries are not so scarce again...
we are evolving bro,.....

But then again, if you are not DIY compliant, then JOS might be too far oh...

and Gazuzz will become hybrid Guru after this his experience..... that's if the villagers permit anyways

We lost 3 cells in the charging process yesterday, Some things are not just obtainable with Transformer based charging systems, will enlighten more when I find stand still traffic.

The charging device I used to charge the batteries, is a transformer based charger with variable inputs/outputs on primary and secondary windings to modify output voltage and current. Watch here to understand how this works.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMePE7NZcxw

System is very basic, and the slightest change in voltage input or current, will take its toll on the output.

I left the shop much longer than I would have envisaged, and in that time, I am assuming the input voltage to transformer was less e.g 200v and at some point it spiked to 205v or 210v. The resultant effect is a variation in charging parameters that were set, and sadly 3 cells became fat when I came back cry

Ok I have moved 300meters grin grin grin grin lagos mehn!

Re: Hybrid discussion Thread. by GAZZUZZ(m): 9:05am On Jun 19, 2019
To avoid all the wahala with unstable voltages, I will be using a 18.5 volt laptop charger to from now on, I should have one old sch IBM charger lying around somewhere....

I have already started a search for a professional tool to charge batteries, and it should be arriving in a week.

The difference with both chargers is automatic voltage regulation. Will explain more later... iv moved 1km.

Watch this 1 small.....
