Manchester United is delighted to announce that Juan Mata has signed a new contract, which will keep him at the club until June 2021, with the option to extend for a further year. During his time at United, Mata has won an Emirates FA Cup, a League Cup, the UEFA Europa League and FA Community Shield. The midfielder has been capped by Spain on 41 occasions and was a member of the squad that won the 2010 World Cup, as well as the 2012 European Championship. Juan Mata said: “It is a real honour to continue to represent this amazing club and our incredible fans. I have been at Manchester United for five years and I am proud to call Old Trafford my home. “I am looking forward to working with Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] and his fantastic coaching staff; the vision that they have for the club is truly exciting and I am so happy that I will be a part of that.” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Juan is the ultimate professional and one of the most intelligent players I have worked with. He is a great example to our younger players in his approach. He understands what it means to be a Manchester United player and has embraced everything about this great club. “As well as everything he brings on the pitch, we have some fantastic young players here and I know that Juan’s vast experience will help them to reach their potential over the coming seasons. I was expecting Manchester United to be scouting and negotiating for either Isco, Rabiot, Draxler, Rose, Ericksen, Douglas Costa, Dybala....... But the stewpid team is busy rejoicing in sign-in Daniel James for almost 3weeks going..... and they are going after people who won't come to the team e. g. This my club is not serious. I was expecting united to sell this guy alongside Herrera. we still have Players like Darmian, Jones, Young, Lingard.etc when we should be keen for on signing Maguire and Wan bissaka. I was expecting; De gea Wan Bissaka, De ligt, Lindelof, Shaw Pogba, Mc Tominay, Fred Lukaku, Martial, Rashford I expect Lukaku to play from the right wing next season 1 Like |
