You do your medicals after you have gotten your interview date. Use Q Life. They are cheaper. And if you have your immunization records, even better. You save more.

Use the link. If it says your passport has been picked up then you can go to DHL office. But I'm sure you'll get the message today. Since your visa has been issued already

Depends on the hospital. For Abuja you have to make an appointment. I did mine at Abuja. I think you can walk-in at Lagos though. Use the link below to get detailed information and contacts of all 3 hospitals. You can call the one that is closest to you and make more inquiries. You can only schedule/attend a medical exam when you have received your Interview appointment letter. You'll be required to submit a printed copy of the letter to the hospital. Yes the email is the letter, just print out the email

Perhaps they have to process it...then just wait for the text/email. I got the email same day my status was updated to issued but was late in the evening. I picked up the next day. So just wait for the email

I didn't realize there was any other kind Well yes cos that's the kind I have and that's what I used throughout the whole process. Plus it'll be submitted at NVC and onces it's accepted by NVC, then you're good to go

Lots can change in a few years.

See Canada Work visa...about 20years ago it took 6-10years for any processing to be done. Some even forgot they applied...now with Express entry its less than 2yrs with a residency that gives a lot more on arrival than the US.
Others have moved to the UK and Europe legally in less time than on a 'waiting' queue for US immigration.
So make use of opportunities that come your way and LIVE your life.
If in 4years time us migration still meets you in a place where you are still interested then you can go ahead.

Read through the thread from behinning and i must say its been very enlightinging.. we have a perculiar case and am hoping someone has had a similar case and was able to resolve it successfully. My dad bro filed f4 for him back in 2006. We just got notification that the case has been approved and at NVC. However the Hiccup is that the date of birth the petitioner filed when filing the petition is different from my dads actual date of birth which he has on his passport and has been issued B1/B2 visa twice on it. I would appreciate input from the seniors of the house. @pretty16 @oladeep @ifunanyamaka @lindsy4real

I think the petitioner can write the nvc to notify them about the wrong date of birth

My mom had same issue when my sister filled for her, they had to notify NVC, it wasn't changed until she went for her interview, she was asked to pay for the change, since the mistake was from my sister.
