nairalandankrah:
Samuel Kalu has been confirmed 'okay' and 'stabilised' after he collapsed during
training, a day before the country’s Afcon opener against Burundi on Saturday.
Kalu was reported to have fallen while trying to take a corner-kick in Friday’s training
session in Alexandria and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
The 21-year-old underwent several medical examinations upon arrival in the hospital and
he was said to have collapsed due to dehydration.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) media chief Demola Olajire confirmed the situation,
with a relief message that the Bordeaux winger has been advised to drink more water.
“I have been told Samuel Kalu has been stabilised. He was taken to hospital for tests
and he is certified okay. He was dehydrated, they said. Told him he needs to be taking
enough fluids,” Olaajire said.
Kalu is one of the nine forwards in Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr’s squad and it remains to
be seen if he would be available for their Group B opening game against the Swallows
at the Alexandria Stadium.
During the 2018-19 season, the pacy winger contributed three goals and two assists in
his debut season with Bordeaux in the French Ligue 1.

if he's been confirmed OK then why putting Nacho on standby, I think there's more to this gist that the NFF is trying to hide, probably to avoid panic

A Europeean, not “an”.

Modified
E in European has a consonant sound, not a vowel sound

Marjoribanks:
An European country is playing an African opposition and you put an European in charge of VAR.
Seriously!!

If wan bissaka was not good enough he should be playing at afcon

Dembele, Malcolm, nahhh.

Douglas Costa, yeah. He even is from Gremio with Ronaldinho. Both played for Gremio FC.
Dribbling, feints, speed, shooting these are the characteristics of Ronaldinho

These players have similar characteristics, I am tempted to add Callum Hudson Odoi but I've not seen much of him

Enjoy Xavi bro

If this argument is about who the better footballer is, it is clearly dinho. His talent level was off the charts.

If however, it is about who understands the game more, then it is xavi all day everyday. xavi's understanding of the game is second to none. His utilization of the concept of time and space was a delight to watch.

Let me put it this way. If xavi and ronaldinho where to go into coaching, who do you think would make the better coach?
Xavi is guardiola level brilliant

with Kalu ruled out Chuks should start, I just hope Broda Jude will make the most of our chances today, we need to score early to destabilize the Burundians because the more the game progresses the more confidence they'll build
let's hope brother Jude doesn't start falling on the floor to win cheap penalties...

With Chukwueze and Musa on the wings plus Iwobi and Mikel in midfield there's no doubt that we will create enough goal scoring chances today.... Let's hope Ighalo converts them..

And on a a more serious note, I hope Rohr will give the attackers the freedom to shoot at goal...not every ball should be passed to the striker..
Against Seychelles in Asaba I saw how they were all trying to get the ball to Ighalo just to help his quest for top scorer award.......

Not about defence splitting passing but controlling the game technically with short simple metronomic passes.
Even Jorginho can do that grin

What sets Xavi out is doing the simple pass as well as keeping an eye upfront for movement for a through pass

Don't compare Xavi to Alcantara pls
