Humility017:

he is completely useless from what i have seen so far...awful positioning
he has two shots on target, as expected of a top man

Rohr should stop this nonsense of deploying mikel as a number 10. He should bring him to the cm them push Iwobi to the 10 position or etebo. The boys so far have done well judging by the case than the Burundi team is highly defensive minded. Also for Aina, torino have done a great job in his development so far

just saying, I haven't seen much of him, except he was doing all this in the first fifteen minutes.

Chukwueze, Iwobi, Ndid, Shehu I've seen.

I have barely even seen Troost.

Anyway, end of first half. Let's hope Onuachu can be more of a tool and put one of two shots in goal
the guy's positioning is not really encouraging
he could barely understand iwobi

and one he had..that he would have passed to iwobi...
his positioning is not encouraging,,he does not look like a hungry striker

Iwobi cannot function as a winger.

BTW, look at the Cameroon female team winning tgeir game 2-1. The one goal NewZealand even got was an own goal, but Nigeria couldn't even score one.

They're alittle jittery. They need to be calmer on the ball and be more clinical in the final third.

We just need to score that's the most important thing now... If ighalo or Musa is fit they should be brought in...

Iwobi is doing wonderful well at winger... There should be interchange between iwobi and Samu...

Good play at most

Mikel is leaving a big gap in the MF thereby putting the defence under attack
Iwobi should be deployed in the middle
Chukwueze needs to calm down

Burundi played better than us in the first half. They had more goals on target than us, and as well tactically disciplined.

None of our Players deserves accolade in the first half. Onuachu was highly disappointed. Ighalo is far better than him, sentiment apart. The Dude couldn't even useful in the Air despite his Height.

We played well in the first half. Not so much with the goals. Goals win games, but we played beautifully.

Hopefully Musa comes in, we'd definitely get a goal, or whomever coach deems fit

Move Mikel to CM, Iwobi to AM, bring in S. Moses for Etebo and move him to LM.

And watch this game turn around.

Boss, as you can see, they are playing defensive football and waiting to punish Nigeria on the counter.

Simply put, my point is... They are playing not to concede even if they can't win.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Oasis007(m): 6:59pm On Jun 22, 2019
Why Mikel is playing AM ffs! Iwobi is wasting on the Pitch as a Winger to be honest. His service is more needed as an AM than a Winger. I will rather play Onyekuru on the left wing.

We need to reduce the amount of back passes, it's getting annoying.
