fuckboys:
imagine you give a so called professional mechanic your car and he's googling and runnin try your luck under your hood?
Now the keyword here is 'PROFESSIONAL'. He should know a car like a book, same as professionals in healh, technology aviation, they don't go around googling stuffs to solve a problem.

How can you even say you're solving a problem when the problem has already been solved by a PROFESSIONAL on the internet?

legalwealth:

LMAO! !! You are so on point.

Many attimes have I called and referred to him as google mechanic when he was poke-nosing into my matter instead of him to be minding and learning his business, so that he could quit consulting google majority of the time he needs to work on cars/vehicles.

Immediately I saw this thread, I termed it as one for mere attention and waste of time because I have and know two Toyota hybrid mechanics that will resolve the issue without consulting anything or anyone let alone google.com.

I am not an auto-mechanic.
I don't even know how to hold a spanner sef not to talk of the different spanner gradients sef.

However, I'm impressed with this job as a pervious customer (and still present and future customer) of the OP. (OP you know everything O! grin)

The OP's methodology had almost made me join the demeanour ranks sef but na age tell me one or two things O!

The attitude of the 21st century technician is to learn from others who have been there in order to improve and even better their achievements.

Thumbs up, OP!
I've been reading from Page 1 and I'm still here waiting for the other classes as a night class student.

All go join inside my brain make me advance pass dolphin finally ( Shebi dem talk say dolphin dey use brain pass us?).

Keep it up. Biz must continue to happen and this project must come out successful in the end. We dey wait for the profitable results finally..
wink

Sir Gazzuzz, weldone o. Carry on sir, you have almost turned some of us to overnight paper auto technicians. We die the day we stop learning. Learning comes in various forms; through ones experience, didactic lectures, reading(online or offline) and from the experience of others. Any professional who doesn't read or seek new knowledge will become obsolete in a short time. Ignore the 'fools'.

Gazzuzz, since this battery pack is newly rebuilt, why not start the motor in another car (its hardwork I know) then return. Being that you just worked on the motor and car doesn't have a starter motor.....

I can see what it took to drag u out.
Your input sir.

I will update this post with my response.

In the meantime, Gazz.uzz deserves commendation for eating his own dog food.

For those who complain about Google and checking sources, here is a what a respected Educator and Instructor affiliated with the Oakland Institute of Automotive Technology, Oakland, California, USA said about the need to do the necessary research before working on a modern vehicle: "It is important to remember when you take on one of these newer vehicles, that you do your homework first..."

Whether that homework is by consulting Google, consulting fellow technicians, or the manufacturer's documentation is immaterial, what is material is that the technician realises that he is chasing a moving target and does his best to go after that moving target.

That is the difference between the modern automotive technician and the run-of-the-mill kind most of us run to due to economic reasons.

I have dwelt on this in the past, see this post: https://www.nairaland.com/4560475/american-automotive-technician-training-live#68508425

Gazz.uzz has done no wrong!

Once again felicitations Gazzuzz
