Argentina have progressed to the Copa America quarter-finals after overcoming Qatar 2-0 to finish second in their group ahead of Paraguay.
After picking up just one point from their opening two games, Lionel Messi and Co needed victory and that exactly happened, with Lautaro Martinez getting Argentina off to the perfect start.

Martinez capitalised on sloppy Qatar defending before toe-poking home into the bottom corner to gift Argentina all three points.
Sergio Aguero wrapped up the victory in the 82nd minute after picking the ball up in midfield and beating two defenders before smashing a low shot into the bottom corner.
Argentina have progressed to the Copa America quarter-finals after overcoming Qatar 2-0 to finish second in their group ahead of Paraguay.

The victory means Argentina will now face Venezuela in the quarter-finals of the Copa America on Friday in Rio de Janeiro.

First off, why create a tournament to be called Copa America when you know there are no numbers to make it truly Americas.

Lol... This is the only match Messi played behind a striker and couldn't even muster an assist until Dybala came to assist them out

Bernardo Silva won the player of the tournament... He assisted two of Ronaldo's goals in the semi final and that of guedes in the finals so yes he won the tournament for Portugal.

Qatar, Japan etc are invited guest cos the no of countries in South America are 12. They needed 4 non South America countries to make up 16 teams of four per group for every tourney
