I’m a Ghanaian living in Europe. Back in the day I used to attend and African Catholic Church (mostly made up Ghanaians and Nigerians ), as a result if that I had an extensive interaction with Nigerians.

Although most of Nigerians I met were nice and cultured most of them tend to have this unfounded sense of superiority over Ghanaians and other Africans. A Nigerian once told me me Ghanaians are slow — whatever that means, since then I try to avoid them as much as possible even though I get on fine with other Africans.

Anyways, I know this is Nigerian so most readers here may be biased, but think of this for a moment, why is it that in almost every country in African (Ghana, Togo, Benin, Kenya, South Africa etc) wants to get rid of Nigerians in their fold? Why aren’t Ghanaians in other countries attracting the same level of attention Nigerians attract?

I cannot begin to quote all the nuisances that quoted me. So we should lauch reprisal attacks at Ghanaians doing their business here? Did the Ghanaians here ask their countrymen to attack your people? Nigerians have been doing business in Ghana for years. If the place had not been favourable for them, they would have moved away since. So suddenly because of a dispute between them and their hosts, we should start hunting down Ghanaians and destroy their businesses? If you can't conform with the unfavourable business conditions, then pack your load and get the hell out of their country. Why would you even want to remain in a country where you are not wanted? Are our people created to constitute nuisances everywhere they go?

If we don't want the Ghanaians doing business here, then write to the trade commission to impose similar stringent business conditions on them that would send them packing afterwards not uploading their photos online and indirectly inciting us to go and destroy their businesses.

Now here in Port Harcourt, we don't have problems with Indians or Lebanese.
