Sir, how are Igbos the protector of the SS?

The SS have higher numbers of registered voters and are better regarded in the present Political equation than the Igbos.

The SS have greater and more developed economies than the SE.

The SS have produced a president and seem better positioned to produce another president before the Igbos.
The person you quoted is SS Igbo..
Some of you are so daft not to acknowledge the fact that there are some Igbo of SS extraction on nairaland

What building picture is that.......

Natural resources doesn't make a country great we have been through that already. ... human resources do....

Its not just human resources then again.... we look at neighbouring aggression. ... just like palestine and israel ...... Eritrea and Ethiopia. ... South Sudan and Sudan.......
Minority suppression
I also heard that in igbo they have different types of igbo.... what would it look like ....
Stop distracting the young man with your Nigerian and minority nonsense mentality.

This same constitution give the States the power to provide portable water, sewage and refuse disposal to States and LGA.

The Constitution is NOT preventing any State from providing portable water to her citizens or enduring clean environment.
-The fundamental question is: Why are you Nigerians desperate to have Biafrans and indeed Igbos as your “fellow citizens” in Nigeria? Is it because Oyibo commanded you lots to do so? Or due to your affectionate love for Igbos? I no do, na by force in your village?

-Nigeria has already collapsed. What you’re witnessing now with Fulani jihadists and Boko Haram is a fight for the tattered soul of Nigeria.

-Igbos don’t want to be part of an Islamic State, Simple. Stop begging us, please. It’s annoying!

I will advise u to tender an unreserved apology for your first statement in good faith, let's not derail this thread this night.

I deserve an apology.

This post doesnt answer the question and it is irrelevant to the question;

'If Biafran has the capacity to be far better than Nigeria, why is it that there is no Superb public water, refuse and sewage systems in the territories of Biafra'?

If Biafra is going to be an Utopian State, by now we ought to be seeing the Stark differences in terms of development between the SE and the rest of Nigeria.

minority suppression would have happened in 1967 if biafra was achieved then...however if biafra is achieved nw it wont happen because of knowledge of history and dangers of domination. Believe me...gabon, congo and equitorial guinea are far ahead of most african countries nw and they have similar biafran geography and multi ethnicity

It's not mineral resources that makes a country great. Nigeria has all the mineral resources you can think about, Oil, Gas, Coal, Gold, Lime stone, Bauxite, and many more. Yet Nigeria is not great.

Some countries like Japan, South Korea, Switzerland dont have anything but all 3 countries are amongst the 15 richest countries in the world. What made them rich? It is called human resources

The amount of electronics Japan and South Korea make and sell in a month, Nigeria cannot make if they sell Oil for a whole year and thats just electronics. I'm not even going into cars, planes or even agriculture.

The reason I believe that Biafra would have been succrssful had it succeeded is thst the Igbos are a very resourceful and resilient people. Igbos would have looked beyond Oil and at its human potential and produced great things that the world can appreciate. The reason Nigeria cannot progress is because they can never see beyond Oil.

Igbos are successful people, all they need to be great is their own separate country where they can run their affairs as nothing great ever comes out of Nigeria
Sorry for being late bro..you just nailed it

It's called HUMAN RESOURCES

Biafra would've been the best thing that happened to Africa.

There's already a stack difference between Igboland and Nigeria. After Biafra war, the entire SE and SSb Igbo areas were destroyed, not one single building was left standing due to repeated bombing the Egyptians did for Nigerians. Despite extensive marginalization and even 10 pounds to each individual in Biafra, less than 50 years after the war, both SS and SE Igbo areas are completely rebuilt with no assistance from anybody. You dare compare that to Nigeria?

Even at that, when Nigerians needed to "buy Nigeria to grow Nigeria." Nigeria pathetically went to the same Aba products used to mock to "buy Nigeria to grow Nigeria."

Nigeria is over a 100 years old yet Nigerian cities despite never experiencing wars is lacking in any ounce of development. I mean leaders actually believe building roads is an act of development. That's how backwards Nigeria is.

Nigeria is over a 100 years yet Nigeria barely manufacture anything. The government shamelessly had to go to go to the same Biafrans that started all over from scratch to sell "buy Nigeria to grow Nigeria." I mean the government actually rejoiced that Nigeria started making Nigeria's own pencil approximately 3 years ago if I remember correctly. Again that's how backwards Nigeria is. You dare compare that to people who are already manufacturing things?

Nigeria is over a 100 years old and the level of growth is equivalent to countries currently at war.

Nigeria is over a 100 years old and Nigeria is currently ranked as one of the worst countries on everything considering the negative indexes Nigeria are ranked in.

And you dare think you can compare SE that actually grew in 50 years without help with Nigeria that's twice their age with multiple assistance from every Western nation, UN, EU, etc.

I think Igbos would have done better if they weren't part of Nigeria. I'm not sure about everybody but Igbos, Ijaws, and every group would have been better off without Nigeria.

The UK loyalty would remain with Nigeria and so would the USA. .... the Name Nigeria has actually done much for the igbo people than others
Thunder fire your head ! ..

I don't care about the topic of this thread at this moment but the name Nigeria is a curse to any known human being dead or alive...

Thats exactly the narrative the federal government has... Nigerians are Nigerians... when we choose to integrate minorities forcefully ignoring that we have differences we create a problem. .... I gave an example of the IS and present day europe that is why they have diversity campaigns... to acknowledge the diversity ..... but in a state with ethnolingiustic minorities frictions are bound to occur..... though that is not the only part.... my people also were part of biafra (southern benue) but if i say i am a biafran you wouldn't accept

Re: Had Biafra Succeeded Would It Have Been Successful by kotv:
Igbos would have been better off without Nigeria. Their level of development after the war in comparison to Nigeria is enough to see what they would have been if they weren't forcefully put back to Nigeria.
Nigeria, itself is a curse.

Igbos aren't the only ones I believe should have been better off. When you look at the development of SS as well after the war in comparison to Nigeria, all tribes in SS and SE would have been better off without Nigeria.

All our politicians back then were not thinking straight. All our politicians now are still not thinking straight. I understand the fear of the unknown but when your reality it terrible without any possibility of a good future then that fear shouldn't even be paid attention to.

Igbos were pushed back. Ijaws were pushed back. Ibibio were pushed back. Efik were pushed back. We all were pushed back from developing and the common denominator, in my opinion, is Nigeria. Nigeria is itself a curse I believe.

And how has this counter balancing helped any of the minorities? They are still poor despite the huge oil and gas wealth coming from their lands.

At least in Biafra, the minorities would have had only Igbos to contend with. In Nigeria the have Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa-Fulani to contend with.

I have never heard of anyone who solved a problem by making it triple.
Haha..guy you funny on this matter.

Is it not safer to align with your cousin than a random friend...las las una go meet for village and the conflicts may never get to a blood shedding level like the herdsmen are doing today.
