In Nigeria, it does.

People should naturally submit themselves to the law. But the "rich" out of stupidity think they are above the law.

No matter how rich he is, it is not right to inconvenience others by landing a chopper on a major road.

Maybe NERC should ignore the ineptitude of BEDC and come to investigate the reasons why I must opt for alternative energy in my home. After all, the electric perimeter fence it powers pose the danger of electrocution to the citizens (intruders).

Directorate of Water resources should do likewise to investigate why I decide to sink a borehole for water supply for my street people.

Heck, the police commission should arrest me for having CCTVs and intruder defence systems manning my house 24/7 rather than waiting for the police to protect me.

I think is more reasonable and proper to investigate the cause of the holdup and the robbery along that road than the flight.

its just that nothing works in Nigeria, it's thier business because aviation authority have responsibilities controling aircraft movement in Nigeria airspace, they need to know if the helicopter got approval to land in that location at that time, what if the helicopter go to unknown location to deliver weapon to terrorist.

Gossipninja:
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) says it has begun a full-scale investigation to ascertain the viral video of the helicopter that landed on the Benin-Ore Expressway on Sunday.

The General Manager, Public Affairs, NCAA, Sam Adurogboye, confirmed the development in a statement issued in Lagos on Tuesday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a video had gone viral on social media of a high profile individual who was picked up by a helicopter after being stuck in traffic for hours.

Mr Adurogboye said initial reports indicated that the helicopter was owned by Tropical Arctic Logistics Ltd, with registration number 5N – BVQ while the aircraft type was AW139. “The pilot was compelled to land between Benin and Ore in an unscheduled diversion to pick up someone.

“NCAA has begun a full-scale investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the unscheduled diversion.
“As soon as the investigation is concluded, the outcome will be made public,” he said. (NAN)

nonsense civil aviation authority, thats what helis are meant to do land anywhere to save lives, what if it was a medical emergency ? are they saying helis should land only in airports? ncaa should focus on fixing our bad runways and clearing bushes around the runway, ensure function ils systems and safe landing at night and bad weather for our airplanes.
