He didn't have creative freedom in watchmen yet he stayed, he didnt have creative freedom again in BVS yet he stayed again. He didn't have creative freedom in JL yet he stayed until WB fired him. What does that tell you?

Either Zack Snyder loves creative bondage or he has a phobia of proving himself elsewhere before the sack

Like i said, i love the way you guys generate excuses for synder the failure.

Now, I have said it several times and even to MCU fanboys that these movies the "incredible hulk, captain america1 and the "Almighty" thor" were all failures. Everyone knows that.

But the thing you didnt get is that all the people that directed these movies were all dropped/sacked from their respective sequels despite their smaller budget. The person that directed Thor1 is not the one that directed thor 2 or thor3. Same for captain america1. Even the incredible hulk has been in limbo because of the massive failure but you dont see some of their fans causing a problem for the studio because of it.

Now compare the situation to Zack synder who was given a higher budget but kept failing year in year out, and despite his failures, the company still hired him for other films to direct. If it was another studio, they would have dropped his failed ass a long time ago.

What do you mean by "smaller budgets"? A movie of $140m?
We don't see their fans causing trouble (like you said) because, in MCU there is a director above all other directors, called Kevin Feige, which DCEU doesn't have.

I still ask, abeg make me understand those movies we fit say dey successful and those we no fit called say dey successful. Thanks.

exactly the point am trying to make. Snyder really hasn't proven himself with a small budget film to his own credit. And that's his career suicide. That's why his work gets hacked to pieces. Jenkins and Wan and N0lan on the other hand have proven themselves with small budget indie films. Jenkins has w0n an Oscar, Wan is loved by the critics cos he managed to create his style independently and N0lan is an arthouse director. Snyder has talent bt hasn't proven himself with an original work. All he's d0ne are adaptati0ns. And when u work or start with adaptati0ns in ur resumè, no studio would have c0nfidence on ur story telling capability or style. Every0ne has said numerous times that snyder has great talent. N0lan said it, James cameron, Amy adams said it but what he hasn't is the c0nfidence and chance to prove it. How would he when the critics keep c0mparing the c0ntents of his work with a previous franchise i.e MOS or the studio keep rushing him and changing their plans and being too m0ney c0nscious. Had Disney being WB, the Mcu would've been reb0oted after thor, incredible hulk and captain america. Chris evans would've been dropped ala Henry Cavill, and a thor film sequel would've been in limbo.

directing films are much harder than landing acting gigs. There really aren't much choices unless u have the m0ney. The only way the man could feed his family was be the Yes man and hope he could at the end of the day prove himself. Do u kn0w how many directors are in hollywo0d lo0king for jobs? And there really aren't auditi0ns fr0m studios in search 4 directors like it is with acting. All they pray and hope for is a chance or a loan to start a project.

I didnt know that lucifer is a dc production, although i dont watch movies with titles like that, i will place krypton on my list i watched 1 episode sometimes back.
My love for dc is at peak level, sometimes it makes me not to enjoy marvel marvel movies. p

Yes, it is a small budget when compared to the $300m budget for BVS or $300m+ budget for JL.

Also, Zack Snyder was virtually above all other directors as he was in charge of most DCEU films and had a say before he was sacked. That's why at a point it was called Synder verse. Even when he wasn't the director of suicide squad (he was an executive producer), he directed some scenes for the movie.

As for the last paragraph, I have posted and explained the films that failed under synder. If you can't still understand, then sorry, it ain't my fault.

Ask those who struggle to find a directing gig for 10years that question.

If synder had a longer version of BVS which tells a better story like some ppl have said here, longer version of a 3hr runtime movie, then I give up. That just proves more he isn't a good story teller. He better go and start directing series, there he can do 5hrs story telling that will do for a season.. synder isn't bad at directing just story telling.. bvs had one of the best hand to hand combat of Batman... For me is movies are just too dark, Superman suit in MOS barly even looked blue, looked worse in JL even wonder woman suit looked almost plain, see how James wan rebranded Aquaman his suit was so dope, and visuals was so amazing... Synder is making a new movie outside WB in few months we will really know if WB was his problem or not.... Me I sha know WB are not looking serious abt building their universe, now u have 2 joker's a younger Batman than Aquaman and Wonder woman, best way to do the reboot they want will av been a flash point movie, Nolan makes is Batman but affleck still remain as present day Batman.. make phoenix for ur joker I don't think anyone will care and keep the current Batman actor simple
