Can someone in Australia please say where students on study permit find the most part time jobs - South Australia, Western Australia, or Victoria? I plan to do an ENGINEERING program at the Advanced Diploma and proceed to complete the Degree at a corresponding university, all in Australia. My choice is TAFE South Australia or TAFE Western Australia or the Monash University Diploma program. Thanks?

Choose Victoria

hi Dragon! I'm planning to move to Adelaide to do a Diploma at TAFE South Australia @Regency Park. How good is Adelaide? Are there part time jobs and other opportunities for students? I'll appreciate your prompt response. Thanks.

You asked for the place to find part time jobs faster for students and I gave you the best option out of the 3. That is why.

I'm coming on a student visa, to study at TAFE South Australia first, then continue at a University in South Australia. How good is Adelaide - safety, part time work (both unskilled and skilled)?

She needs to register on Nairaland first, read through all the posts that that talk about what countries she wants to migrate to and proceed from there.
Once she decides what path she wants to follow, you can then provide her with the support she needs.

Seriously
Is Australia work visa that easy

Pls be very careful with that agent and make sure you dont pay anything until the visa is out.
Even before you balance him do proper verification of that visa.

@Psalmdara,

Do you know 'these people' that travelled to Australia with that visa personally? Or it is the story the agent told you?

Yes, people travel to Australia in numbers daily but you have to travel legally and right.

Subclass 189 is not a work visa. It is a permanent resident visa and it is not valid for two years. Since you are sure of the person and what he does, all I can do is to wish you all the best in Australia.

by the time the package cast, we no go hear anything.. he'll just go underground.... ... Unless there's a visa stealing scam I haven't heard about yet, you cannot get 189 by just paying money...

@Psalmdara But hey, if it turns out to be legit, by all means, when you land, let us know... I know several people in Nigeria who would be interested.

Please i need a candid advice. I am married with three kids (5,3 and 1). I stay in Lagos and my salary is about 10 million per annum with bright chances this will increase yearly in terms of salary reviews and promotions as I work with a big four. In short I can current afford to send my kids to good schools and take care of my family's basic needs. Would it be advisable to take a job offer in Australia (most likely sydney) for 80 to 85k AUD per annum pre-tax and live comfortably there with my family?

with 10M per annum in Naija, you are a big man.... if you move to Aus for that salary you mentioned, You probably won't be able to live the way you are used to... And if your wife is currently a stay-at-home mum, she might have to start working.. in short, your comfort will reduce...so its up to you to decide whether a brighter future for your kids + more security and peace of mind in Australia outweighs the relatively easy life in Nigeria on that kind of salary..

If I was in your position though, I wouldn't move. i would process permanent residence in both Canada and Australia, fly over, activate it and hold it in case things go to hell in Nigeria one day, but I wouldn't actually relocate for anything below 120k. .... The cost of living is triple (or more) the cost of living in Nigeria, It doesn't make much economic sense to move for just Double the salary.

But hey, its just my opinion.
