lilwetdick:The mistake you are making is believing every thing Busola said and every "talk talk" you have heard. The fact that a story sounds coherent doesn't mean it's true. Never underestimate the deceptive capacity and wickedness of the human mind. These top pastors, how do you know that they are witnesses? Did they say that they were there? Were you there? So because they were called out as witnesses means they are withness? A story, however coherent and plausible, can't be taken as fact without evidence. If I woke up one morning, said you raped my sister and pointed out that my friends are witnesses, should people believe me because I called witnesses? Beside, where are these pastors called out as witnesses? Have they testified or made admission? Be careful lilwetdick, we must be cautious lest we men and real rape victims are in trouble in the long run. Even if certain pastors start admitting and calling out Fatoyinbo without proof, would you rule out the possibility of an enmity, rebellion or mutiny of pastors against Fatoyinbo? Either there is evidence or not. and there is nothing like dem say here, all true statement and lot of names called out in the almost 2 hour video, even the the pastor told another pastor that he had an affair with her, lets imagine he has an affair, it means he committed a crime by having sex with a minorWhat evidence do have to assert that the statements are true? Name calling is not evidence. Nb: I am not supporting Fatoyinbo or Busola, I am only championing due process. If it is proven that Busola and Fatoyinbo had a sexual encounter then Fatoyinbo must face the music for sleeping with a minor. However, as long as there are no evidences for rape or a sexual encounter, Pastor Fatoyinbo shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty. |

Martinez39:if she was a prostitute then i would have doubt the story bbut this woman has her reputation on ground, she is a respectable member of the society, no respectable woman in nigeria will just come out to cook up a story, there is truth to this story, it happened and i believe her..we shouldnt forget she also has her business and family name to protect, she wont just cook up stories for the sake of it. this is Nigeria not america, respectable women of our society do not just lay an allegation on a pastor wihout proof |

lilwetdick:I admit that rape happens in Nigeria; our judicial system is corrupt and slow and wearying and our rape laws are not impressive but you are guilty of another mistake. That mistake is declaring Nigerian women relatively innocent and morally upright compared to their American and European counterparts just because they are Nigerians. Many nairalanders here have told us of how they were falsely accused. Ali baba, the comedian, even spoke of how his relative's life was nearly destroyed by a false allegation if not for the evidence that exonerated him. Hahn, my good friend, has a story about a false allegation that involves a relative or so. Another striking story, which I would never forget, was told by a nairalander, who happened to be a teacher, about how his student accused him of touching her vagina after he scolded her in front of the class. He was exonerated and rescued by his fellow students who stood by him and told the truth. Another told of how a girl framed him because he asked her to go home since he didn't want to have sex and give her money but the girl insisted and threatened to accuse him of rape because he didn't want to have sex and give her money. The girl visited by herself, the guy didn't call her to come. The girl called a witness, just like Busola did, and it happened that witness, the guy's neighbour, was at odds with the guy prior to that encounter. She was trying to take advantage of the enmity between the guy and his neighbour. It did not work, the neighbour said the truth and the girl was beaten by her aunt. "These are just stories" you might say but why believe Busola when she has just given us stories without evidence? Hypocrisy? In gold digging, hypergamy, third wave feminism, manipulation and deceit, girls are basically the same everywhere. where in the Nigeria law is financial settlement allowed in the case of rape, pls show me, if you pay a women 5000 naira to clear your name that is between you and her, no court in Nigeria will say you should pay any woman money for rapeI goofed on that, my bad. Despite the law not making provisions for compensation, false accusers may look for compensations as individuals, groups or companies may want to protect their reputation. Nevertheless, financial motives are not the only reasons why women falsely accuse people of rape. where in this world, have they accuse a man of rape and he is sent to jail without investigation, if you are accused of rape and it is reported to the police, they do investigation, nobody send you to jail just because a woman cry rape..public opinion is not the court of justice..just because some people on the street believes her does not mean the police and court believes herWe are not saying that police don't do investigations, all I am saying is that many men go to jail for a rape crime they never commited EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE NO EVIDENCES TO BACK THE ACCUSERS CLAIM UP. Many men have lost jobs, scholarships, been expelled from their academic institution etc. because of false rape allegations made against them. The Internet is your friend. The issue is that people should stop banking on "I know her, she is nice person and can't lie," "she has no reason to lie," "many have been accusing him before so he did it," emotions and drama. pls i still want you to give evidence of women accusing a guy of rape without evidence and people believe her here in Nigeria..pls show me proof,,in the case of sexworker, many men have sex with them and do not pay, the only way to make the man pay is to cry rape, then you see the man paying up his bill...i still want you to show me where in Nigeria, a woman has accused a man of rape without evidence and he is sent to jail.Lol. Busola hasn't brought any evidence but you believe her. You are the example you are looking for. No one said men are wrongfully sent to jail in Nigeria instead we always point out Europe and America for this. Nigerian judicial system is corrupt and slow. It panders and shields the richer client. I don't know if it is still in practice but there was a time when rapist could pay #500,000 and go scot free. |

lilwetdick:It's true what you say, there are no evidences that Busola is the wayward type but then, how much do we really know the real Busola? How much do we really know the real Fatoyinbo? Many people are angels in the public eye and preach love on social media but offline they treat people they consider inferior and useless to them like trash, snub etc. How well do you know Busola? Is she really respectable offline? I keep my fingers crossed. People are full of surprises and many at times, there are more than what meets the eyes. Could it be that her sordid and concentual past with Fatoyinbo or who knows were about to be unveiled to Timi Dakolo and she used this to cover up and divert? Given the fact that there fundme website was opened before she came out, could it be that the Dakolo's are facing a financial difficulty and they are trying to exploiting Fatoyinbo? Most of these celebs are struggling but we won't tell us as they live fake lives on social media. There are many possibilities, let's keep our fingers crossed. Beside, you once asked why Pastor Fatoyinbo hasn't sued for defamation if he is indeed innocent, I ask why hasn't Busola gone to the police or filed a court case if she was raped? this is Nigeria not america, respectable women of our society do not just lay an allegation on a pastor wihout proofNot every you think is respectable is really respectable. Stop speaking for people you don't know in and out. In gold digging, hypergamy, third wave feminism, manipulation and deceit, girls are basically the same everywhere. |

Martinez39:this case has nothing to do with third wave feminism, gold digging or hypergamy..are all rape cases in nigeria related with feminism... we live in Nigeria and we hear strange news everyday, rape, ritual killings and all sort, when a women comes out that has been a victim...should we just ignore without checking facts and investigating..when women were been killed daily for ritual purposes by men..no body talked, what about men stealing their underwears for the sake of ritual..what about a pastor who recently cut the head of a woman who came for deliverance all the way from illorin, as i have said Nigeria is not america, we live in a lawless country where many things go unpunished. there is a video on xvideos, of a benin woman who went to some pastors for child of the womb, the pastors deceive her and took turn in raping her, while she say some words in benin langauge. in this country lets always speak facts...feminism infact is not an issue to many Nigerian women on the street who need to feed their families, i know a real feminist s when i see and bisola is not one of them The Gofundme account are being created by fraudulent people, did she ask for it, one of the lawyers that said he will foot the bill for the trial announced the gofundme account..people want to make money from this case, the gofundme has nothing to do with her, nobody is exploiting the pastor, the pastor has been in the news for many atrocities, i do not trust pastors, they have broken homes, destroy marriages, make money out of poor people while they live lavish lives... |

lilwetdick:Why did you leave out manipulation and deceit? Didn't I mention manipulation and deceit? we live in Nigeria and we hear strange news everyday, rape, ritual killings and all sort, when a women comes out that has been a victim...should we just ignore without checking facts and investigating..No one said we should ignored facts and abandon investigation. I only championed due process. when women were been killed daily for ritual purposes by men..no body talked, what about men stealing their underwears for the sake of ritual..what about a pastor who recently cut the head of a woman who came for deliverance all the way from Ilorin. No one was silent even though the heat generated was as much as the one generated by Busola Dakolo's case. When a 13 year old girl was raped and the doctors confirmed that she wouldn't give birth again, did people react as much as they did for Mrs. Dakolo's case? Did they protest? Where were they? Why now? Simply because it's a famous person involved and a lot what to trend, give themselves the moral high ground and create a reputation of moral uprightness. who came for deliverance all the way from illorin, as i have said Nigeria is not america, we live in a lawless country where many things go unpunished.True. The broken system still doesn't mean that any rape claim without evidence is true. there is a video on xvideos, of a benin woman who went to some pastors for child of the womb, the pastors deceive her and took turn in raping her, while she say some words in benin language.Did anyone say that the pastors were right? Where were the protesters? Did the celebrities react? No one is saying rape is right, all I am saying is that due process should take it's course. Social media support and blind believe are not evidence. in this country lets always speak facts...feminism infact is not an issue to many Nigerian women on the street who need to feed their families, i know a real feminist s when i see and bisola is not one of themThis issue has nothing to do with feminism, I only listed as one of the many aspects in which many of our ladies are similar to their western counterparts. Let's not digress by discussing that. The Gofundme account are being created by fraudulent people, did she ask for it, one of the lawyers that said he will foot the bill for the trial announced the gofundme account..people want to make money from this case, the gofundme has nothing to do with her, nobody is exploiting the pastor, the pastor has been in the news for many atrocities, i do not trust pastors, they have broken homes, destroy marriages, make money out of poor people while they live lavish lives...Okay. I don't trust pastors too and I know that they are criminals. However that doesn't mean that the rape claims of any Bimpe or Anita is true. Financial reasons are not the only reasons females make rape accusations. |

Martinez39:you are right that evidence is needed but i believe i have seen one evidence and that is from bisola, i dont believe a woman like her will want to blackmail the pastor, even when she talked about the the emotional trauma she went through, it is something similar to rape victims, the feeling of disgust, overly aggressive, if Nigerians are really serious with the truth, then twitter lawyers like @sagalink should take the case to court, if he is serious and genuine. |
