The church of Christ is for WORSHIP and not a money doubling scheme! If you go to God because you want to be rich, then you are not going to God with the right intentions! Not everyone is meant to be rich and not everyone will be rich! God can decide to bless you because he wants to use you and, he wants you to use that wealth to help others! Not to display obscene wealth, steal and lie!

And who said poor has to do with only having money? You guys are funny? Poor is a defeated state of mind.. You can't not achieve anything in life in such state.. When Nigerians hear the word poor, the only thing that comes to mind is lack of cash.. Smh

When pastors tell you that you can be poor, they are right, you can't claim to have Christ in you and have a defeated mentality.. If you don't wanna be rich personally, you should be able to make people flourish, to be positive, to have hope and most times it ends in prosperity... A poor state of mind can not breed hope, it is a defeated state of mind that comes with self pity.. You can be broke in Christ, but you can't be poor...

Please kindly disregard silly response to this post. You made sense. Carnal Christians whose ultimate goal is earthly possession and reward may not like your post. But anyone whose ultimate goal is heaven and daily yearns to see Jesus hereafter, appreciates your comment.

The Pentecostal block of Christians in Nigeria needs to review their activities and operations. In my opinion and maybe in the eyes of heaven, most of these new Pentecostal churches and their pastors do more damage than good to Christianity in Nigeria. More damage than what Boko Haram and Ishmaelites are doing to Christianity. Boko Haram kills the body which is ephemeral but many of these Pentecostal churches kill the soul which is eternal.
Thanks.. Wish I could love your comment... I had already decided not to reply any of them.. Them go quote me tire.. Even a genuine Muslim knows how to dress better to mosque.. They would rather take the heat in their hijab than where skimmpies or anything that exposes their body to mosque.. Now I aired my opinion that I don't like her dress even without condemning or abusing her and some so called Christians are quoting me in such annoying and uncivilized manner.. Keep on quoting me ehn..

Truth is, that is part of the problem in such church settings where consecration does not have their attention! When you look like the world you will attract the world to yourself and when the world is attracted to you who lacks consecration they will subtract Christ from you until you are equal the world. Is the reason the Bible says to not love the world. A Pastor whose trademark is designer wears will soon land where Fatoyinbo found himself.
True!!

Pastor Omodele Fatoyinbo, wife of the Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Abiodun Fatoyinbo on Monday said God will give her husband the grace to know what to do.

She spoke at the commencement of the yearly special program of the church tagged Seven Days of Glory.
Mrs. Fatoyinbo said this while delivery her sermon at the church auditorium in Guzape, Abuja as the lead pastor following the stepping aside of her husband over a rape accusation.

She said: “God will make us rich. His right hand sustains my destiny. God has made Modele and Biodun rich. He looks down to make you rich. I am telling someone today that God is going to enlarge you. You will enjoy grace, you will experience an expanded grace. Decree over someone tonight that in your house receive an expansion.

“The work of my hand is expanding no matter the situation, from ocean to ocean. The grace to complete your assignment, the grace to know what to do, God will give our senior pastor.”

Despite protests that greeted the rape allegation against the founder of the church, Biodun Fatoyinbo, hundreds of church members were present to grace the annual program, which was low-key.

The atmosphere was calm unlike Sunday when protesters almost disrupted the service with various inscriptions.

The special program COZA7DG usually attract several international pastors.

This year’s edition was meant to host Pastor John Hannah, Pastor Korede Komaiya and Prophet Gideon Danso before the rape accusation.

None of them attended due to their development.

Fatoyinbo stepped down on Monday morning following the outcries over the accusation. The embattled pastor was not present at Monday’s service.

OK... I'm in no position to codemn or judge anyone but seriously!! A so called wife of a pastor wearing such gown on the altar!! Preaching!! No wonder most of their members come to church in their club outfits.. When you see a church that has its prime goal fixed at getting members and making money without a single iota of spirituality exhibited or preached by the pastor or the wife, if you know your Bible well enough and love the truth, you would flee from such places.. ..

Please pity the wife small
She is trying to compete with about 365 of her husbands mistresses in one branch alone.

Poor is what it is, lack of wealth. Don’t try to twist and play words here. Some are rich, some are comfortable and some are poor. Most rich in the next generation become comfortable. Most comfortable in the next generation can become rich. Most poor in the next generation can become comfortable. That is because life is a circle.

In the end every family will get a chance in a certain generation so there is no need to run faster than what was meant for you! You can lack morals and be rich, be content and be poor. It doesn’t make you a failure in life or devoid of the grace of God. It’s just the hand that life dealt you.

These new generation churches with the obsession for wealth directly correlates with the increase in crime in our country! That is why the pastors and congregation are so corrupted, smelling like corpses from sin under all that ill gotten wealth. This fake pastor and his fake pastor wife are preaching obscene sermons and you try to twist words to justify it. You need to go get your bible for reorientation.

If you are looking for sudden wealth them maybe drop the toga of Christianity and join a religion that can double your wealth. Even in traditional religion doubling wealth comes with consequences that may cost you your life because God blesses whom he will bless. Even Jesus and disciples lives a simple life depending on followers for bare sustenance. Our pastors who claim to have authority of Christ and are Christ-like are so obsessed with wealth that they twist words and turn scripture upside down to justify theft from the churches coffers.

Prosperity gospel is evil, self serving and obscene. It does not glorify God or represent Christianity. Being a man or woman of God is a hard job and a call to serve God in humility and simplicity! Not this ego driven tripe we hear daily. See her even wearing designer clothes and shoes that some thithers will never afford in their life time!

When you see a church that has its prime goal fixed at getting members and making money without a single iota of spirituality exhibited or preached by the pastor or the wife, if you know your Bible well enough and love the truth, you would flee from such places.. Just like I went for a choir audition in one Church, I passed the audition and was supposed to robe with the choirs the next Sunday service. Now this is an upcoming church oh! With dope instruments and instrumentalist(I give it to them) but I backed out when I went for one of their services and heared the pastor saying in quote "this church isn't for poor people" and I was like seriously!! (an upcoming church).. My story could be uncalled for but this is the extent some so called churches have reduced spirituality to. They don't care about their responsibility which is to help souls make heaven. What some of them care about is their pocket.. And they would rather lie to you and make you stay in church than tell you the Gospel truth without minding if it would make you leave and sadly enough, most of their members don't even consider this things as canal.. Just like how most of the members hailed the pastor of that church I went to, when he said "it wasn't for poor people"..
If you observed, I used the tag "some" cause I know they are still real spirit filled churches out there..
#may_God_help_us_all..
Imagine, the only thing they use GRACE for in that Church is to make them rich

growing up in Nigeria sex was sacred and expensive.. U spend time, energy, money and emotions to procure.. Post 9/11 sex became a norm and it became cheap and worthless but ironically rape cases increased both true and false in sharp contrast to when it was sacred..

There shall never be peace.. Humans are complex species..
