How To Spot Rich People On Nairaland by paroh137(m): 12:56pm On Jul 01, 2019
I am fascinated by Nairaland. Infact Nairaland reminds me of a university, in that there's a lot of good and information flying around, there's people of all ethnicities, nationalities, wealth and social status, etc Also, as in a university there are people who are here to make a first class, some want to make useful contacts, while some others are here to while away time.

Anyways as a car importer I try to determine the seriousness of people when they contact me to help them buy cars from the U.S. Some people are actually serious and want to buy, some just want to know prices, some others just want to waste your time. This thread is a list of my observations on the people who are most likely to end up buying (read: rich people)

1. They rarely comment.
They spend reasonable  time on Nairaland but they don't commment much. When they comment it's always useful insights as to the matter at hand. You hardly see them fighting for first to comment.

2. They are frugal with personal information.
You can peruse their comments from morning till night but won't find any iota of information as to what they do for a living, where they're based, etc, whereas the ones that are quick to inform you how much they earn are the ones that'll price a Corolla for 3 months and still not buy.

3. They're Mainly Pro Buhari
For some reason about 70% of my customers are mostly Buhari supporters. I have no logical explanation for this, seeing as there's a lot of 'Atikulated' people on Nairaland.

4. They follow few Nairalanders
Rich people on NL mainly follow popular Nairalanders such as seun, dominique, farano, lalasticlala, etc You see the guys following a million people, most of them female monikers? Avoid them! Run!

What other observations have you made about rich Nairalanders?

u are wrong, the only way to know financially successful people on a forum is to try and meet them in real life, people can be funny, so u can't predict their class by their comments or attitude on a faceless forum, my thought though, but wondering what made u create this kind awkward thread lol, are u searching for a lost rich uncle grin

Apparently credible but not really accurate. There are rich nairalanders with free time on their hands and there are rich nairalanders who are always busy. There are poor nairalanders with free time on their hands and there are poor nairalanders that are always busy. Besides, personalities differ. Some like to argue, some don't; some like Seun, some don't; some follow popular nairalanders while some follow those that impress them with their taught processes.

It's really difficult and tedious to draw a conclusive data on this issue.
