You just have to wiggle your way out of your own cage, right? typical!

Hey before you lose your head, where exactly do you stand in all of this, cos I see you all over the place with no position. You can't have it both ways.

It's no secret that Nigeria is a shithell with you iddiots cheering it over the cliff and then turn around to blame others for your problem. Should we blame Ghana for your problem or whose fault is it that you can't pull your weight as a country? I've never dissed Nigeria before but you omo ale have a way of getting an earful. I'm not one of you dishonest mental slaves who for whatever reason will keep calling dog a monkey till cows come home. Calling a spade a spade is honesty, learn it and your life will be better for it, also it will help you get in touch with your real self.

And lastly, I've a bigger brass pairs and more alpha than you a beta male, think about that.

My bottle of wine is almost halfway, it's gonna be a long night till I fall asleep. Hubby is in Washington live, it's all about July 4 holiday, happy independence day!

Don't mind that one. We have so many Omo ale (bastards) on Nairaland pretending to defend Yoruba interests.

You don't know the difference between a comma and a conjunction conjunction and you've been jumping up and down accusing people of inability to read and comprehend.
At the end of the day, the shame is on you.

Look at this joker, what's your ignorance and inability to read and comprehend got to do with punctuation?

This joker is a comedian.

Btw, I fixed your little errors.

It's not abt grammatical error man!! I'm putting it to you that you have comprehension issues which you've been accusing ppl of. The document does not list ranching as a means to mitigate clashes, it does not even list ways of mitigating the clashes. Read and understand so you stop fooling urself

Not interested in your ignorant and irrelevant nonsense, just learn how to read and comprehend simple English words.

See the work devil has given you to do. It's all a typo by the way but for your small mind, I tried self, tipsy and all. And who said anything about punctuation? Are you sure you are not mad?

I don't expect you to be interested in what's above your level of understanding. If you don't know the difference between ranching as a method of livestock farming and ruga settlement how can you contribute to the conversation?
If you don't know that ranching is a business model while ruga is a tribal affair how can you talk about it?
Go back and see what ranching entails and go check ruga as proposed by your paymaster. Then you can come back and argue.

So, what's not so straight forward about the link and content.?

Or you just conveniently missed the part about the establishment of ranches to mitigate escalating crisis between pastoralists and farmers.

Now, do you mind explaining to us how this approach is different from RUGA?

Reading and comprehension is very essential.

Btw, there's a difference between tech hubs and Livestock and last time I checked, we have vibrant tech hubs in Nigeria and our tech innovators and entrepreneurs are the best in Africa.

Ruga is different from ranching based on the settings, ownership, rules and regulations. The ranches would be controlled by government, cattle owners rents space(s) in ranches and abide by the laid down rules of the owner so ranches could be private or govt owned. On the other hand, Ruga settlements are basically Fulani herders settlements like mini-villages which will allow them have the full authority of the settlements, have their security set up themselves, they can have their own leader just running like a town inside another one. So there is no way that won’t cause a greater disaster.

"Ruga Settlement that seeks to settle migrant pastoral families simply means rural settlement in which animal farmers, not just cattle herders, will be settled in an organized place with provision of necessary and adequate basic amenities such as schools, hospitals, road networks, vet clinics, markets and manufacturing entities that will process and add value to meats and animal products," he said.

He said beneficiaries will include all persons in animal husbandry, not only Fulani herders.

Livestock farming is what they do inside RUGA, including manufacturing and meat processing.

You just explained RUGA from top to bottom. In fact, RUGA is more comprehensive since it's opened to livestock farmers and businesses, not just Fulani herders with the same control measure by the government.

Ruga means a cow settlement in hausa. It's instructive you want to engage on a national programme and you give it a tribal appellation. It's shows its exclusivity. Forget all that trash from garbage shehu. Ruga is expected to be land ceded to Fulanis to have their own communities everywhere.

Ten key states were identified as the frontline states to receive pilot interventions in line with the recommendations of the FMARD and NEC livestock conference.

The states include: Adamawa, Benue, Ebonyi, Edo, Kaduna, Nassarawa, Oyo, Plateau, Taraba and Zamfara.

The plan would include creation of large ranches in each of these states.

We don't need another evidence to know that yoruba moslems support RUGA.

We are not against any cattle bullshitt as long as none of them is in the East. We will reject any RUGA version 2

Do people know fulani history? Do you know why they are all over West Africa and claim lands all over West Africa even though technically they aren't from West Africa?

The invade communities, sack them and take over. Their ancestors did and if not for British they probably would have continued until every land in West Africa belongs to them. Unfortunately, out of all West African countries, Niggeria is the only one stupid enough to give them power excluding Niger of course but we know the reason that happened. The Fulanis are not going to stop on this. Quote me on this. If their history teaches anything, that land in all state they desire, they'll keep on trying until it leads to outright fights.

I was actually expecting a reply without the usual tribalism, bigotry, and rubbish.

I guess that was expecting too much from tribally stewed people.
one funny thing about people like you is that you shout at people who in your warped reasoning and logic, think that they are tribalistic. But the truth is that you are the worst set of people who are kneck deep in tribalism. You abuse an ethnic group without provocation. Talk rudely to people here. Keep decieving your self. you are just battling with low self-esteem.

Who are the "we"?
What does rural grazing area even mean for heaven's sake?
You're a sellout and a shameless one that's for sure. Ask any hausa person you know what ruga means. You think it's a novel idea??
I suggest you use your family land for the rural grazing area if you're so much in bed with your Fulani paymasters.

Update: South East governors restated their position that they have not and do not intend to donate lands for the creation of Ruga settlements or implementation of the National Livestick Transformation Plan (NLTP).

I knew the answer would be no from them. It's easy to give support in boardrooms but donating land much different. They even went so far as to ban herding on foot. I don't know if this a litmus test for rest of states who were initially against ruga. I do think they'll say no again.
