Please, be informed that the ancient town of Ikorodu in Lagos State will stage her annual Liwe Festival this week Saturday 6th July, 2019.

The festival is strictly a men affairs as women are expected to be indoor from dawn to dusk in some parts of the town (Aga, Isele, Ijomu and so on).

u know last month government demolished buildings on the top the pipeline around those area , people built houses on top the pipeline tracks , putting pressure on it !!

Hmmm. People shud not build houses along or over pipelines installations. This shud be marked and enforced.

You open the borders and allow all kinds of Chinese products into the country.
Local manufacturing cannot compete with the prices
Industries close down, layoff workers.
Now nobody has work again.

Nigerian goverment and companies should take FIRE SAFETY and OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH and SAFETY SERIOUSLY not just by employing an HSE officer and wearing PPE but by having a regularly tested and improved safety management system (SMS).

Duly planned, implemented, monitored and evaluated SMS would have prevented this. In this particular business line prevention is better and waaay cheaper than cure

Sorry to all those affected by this. The loss will be huge
