I am using this medium to thank those who began this forum for a great work and a great job they have done and are still doing.

Although I didn’t discover this forum until I have spent over a year in the UK but I am glad to be part of this forum.

Congratulations to MrsDutse and Obabola123 who recently informed this group of their testimonies and experiences and others who got their extensions this year and previous year, also appreciate everyone for the timely guidance and suggestions given to members of the forum.

I have gone through the threads and posts by so many people in this forum and have learnt so much from all I have read. I will begin to put my papers together for the next phase based on all I’ve read from everyone who advised, suggested, and shared their experiences on the good news from HO.

I pray that those who have sent their applications and those who will still send theirs this year will share good news with us soon and for the rest of us who still have some time that our own time of testimony will come.

Thank you all and God bless us all.

Good day all,
Just wanted to find out how accurate this is, or to just take the English test to avoid wahala.
Secondly, can I do the B1 test instead of the A2 since it's still going to be used for the FLR application.
Thank you.

Hi Good Evening Everybody and congratulations to those who recently succeeded in the renewals
Just a quick question....

I'm renewing my spouse Visa FLR(M) this week and would be using the priority/premium service (To avoid go slow)...
Please my questions are;
1. Do I need to make photocopies of my documents before taking it to the UKVCAS centre?
2. How long does it take to get an acknowledgment letter since we submitting the application online through a solicitor? As i need to send the acnnowlegdment letter to my employers ASAP......

Thanks
Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by Bourne007(m): 11:54pm On Jun 30, 2019
1. No you don't need to take photocopies.

2. I don't think you will get an acknowledgement letter cos you using the 24 hours priority service. You will get approval email / letter within 2 days.

Your company no get chills ni? If not, proof of appointment and/or payment ideally should be fine.

Why you dey waste kishi on solicitor na?

Anyways, all the best

Assuming you uploaded and submitted yourself, it would have generated a checklist of documents to submit. The exact same solicitor go use.

It's not really about wasting money. It's just a simple and straightforward application. If to say application get comma, solicitor will def be required.

If you wan do next application, read guidance and this forum with questions. There's immigrationboard as well. I'm sure ppl will be willing to answer your questions/queries.

If you still wan use solicitor, just hire me cheesy.

Hello house,

My UK spouse Visa is due for renewal in the last week of January. I want to know from when should I start applying and booking for an appointment. Don't want to get an appointment after my Visa is expired. I plan to use the super priority service.

Dear E-fam,

Una well done. Good work you are all doing here. God bless you/us.

I am putting together my documents for externsion and I am very confused over this proof of English competency. When I applied for the visa in 2016, it wasn't a requirement. Or was it? As I did not write the English Language tests. Is it compulsory? Are there routes to exemption I might have used then? Please help me out.

By the way, I had my first degree in Nigeria, and my MSc in Aberdeen. I look forward to clarification.
Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by Bourne007(m): 6:47pm On Jul 03, 2019
A degree in the UK already meets your English Language requirements.

It's always been a requirement.

You must have submitted your MSc certificate as part of your supporting documents in 2016. It's a requirement and many people get refused because of it.

***This is my husband's experience as the applicant*** Goodluck and wish you the same good news!!!

I scanned and uploaded my documents on the UKVCAS website a few days before my appointment date. Documents were listed and arranged as shown below. Arrived at the centre at about 9am for a 10:30am appointment. Did my biometric using a self service computer machine and later attended to by a lady who cross checked my scanned documents and asked if am ok with the scanned documents and also if I would like to add any other document that have not been uploaded b4. I was ok with what I had initially uploaded. She submitted it and did not collect the originals I brought along with me. I finished b4 10am and by 1pm had gotten an email approval for my extension.

Please who else has done change of name within the UK on spousal visa ? Can you kindly share a guide. Thanks in advance

Just do a letter to the home office with your ref if you have one and change your passport to the new name so you have a supporting document, that's it.

Just do a letter to the UKba, quote your ref if you have one and get a new passport to have a supporting document incase you need to use the new name. All they need is letter and attach a copy of the new passport to it,thats it.
