You really cannot tell people that someone earns 1million per month and ordinary cleaner earns 100k and expect them to hear you say "think before coming". Especially a people that the majority earn less than $1 per day.
so I should not say the truth?

i think its very important for us here to be transparent. this thread isn't transparent. i do not want a dime from anyone here BUT WHOEVER IS READING THIS:

PLEASE 3 MONTHS VISAS ARE FROM N170,000 TO N200,000 (anything more than that, tell the person to go to hell and find another trusted person).

FLIGHTS GRACEFULLY AIRPEACE NOW COMES TO THE UAE FOR N180,000 TO N190,000 for a two-way trip. anything more than this tell the agent or person to go to hell. you can even get cheaper prices on other airlines but maybe longer flight hours but airpeace is a direct flight (8hrs).

BEDspaces are from N50,000 to N65,000 maximum.

i know this will be taken down because i mentioned prices but i also want to say i am not an agent neither do i know any agent. i just am fed up of hearing stories of people coming to the UAE FOR 1MILLION, 900,000 for 3 months stay. its is selfish and sad.

my friend i wish you goodluck in Nigeria. God will not abandon you.
Yeah, the prices you mentioned are fair enough, but the price of bedspace depends on the location and number of occupants, personal I won't advice anyone coming to look for job here to live in any other Emirates apart from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, often time people choose to live in Sharjah or Ajman due to low cost of living thereby limiting themselves the chances of securing a job. Also if you're in Dubai, say no to bedspace in Deira, though it's very cheap there but you will totally lose hope in getting a job, cos almost everybody in Deira is an agent . Lol

DEIRA should be lifted out of dubia and dumped in omaquain lol.... i took an accidental visit to deira and i have never seing a 4 storey bunker bed in my life. the last guy at the top was literarily living inside the ceiling, about 16 persons in one room. i agree with you starting your uae experience in deira is a NO-NO unless you are extremely focused and know your targets.

its not easy anywhere in the world for some Nigerians but you must know who you are, your goals and how to archieve them.
a doctor friend of mine in Nigeria came into this town same day with me on one of my flights to dubai, he started his journey in abu dhabi, got a job after sleepless nights of surfing for jobs online but he ended up paying an agent to secure a job, the job was in dubai ( carwash), few months later he texted me he had a new job as a lab supervisor (almost like a lab security) fastforward to less than a year, he had his ID, going on vacation to Nigeria this month to open his own LAB in NIgeria before returning to the UAE.... this is someone who sold his car in my pressence to be able to afford flight ticket to dubai.

what am saying is BE FOCUS, KNOW YOUR TARGET, AIM FOR IT AND BE YOUR BEST AT IT. SIMPLE.

2017: "it is better to start small hustle in Nigeria"
2018: "it is better to start small hustle in Nigeria"
2019: "it is better to start small hustle in Nigeria"

2020, you'll still be told "it is better to start small hustle in Nigeria"

Bottom line: Take the risk and join the millionairs plus, I rather swaet it out in a foreign land than do same in my own country. My personal view.

Wetin dey cause yawa here sef?

See guys, if you want to go to Dubai... Let it not be with your last cash!! I repeat, let it not be with your last cash!!! There's a big chance returning home Penniless/overstaying/nuisance/begger/thieves/ yes, I was there and I'm back!

My bossom friend promised me of a job even before landing, he gave me a profile of him owning his own place and all that. Don't blame me, I have to believe him because he own a car in Naija and just came back for his wedding. We all saw the glamour of the wedding and yes, he left his car for his wife and traveled back almost immediately. Here the convo.

Me: Harry, I hail o, see how you fresh, help your boy na?
Harry: Oboy na God o, how mumsy na, how that your stubborn brother?
Me: Boss we dey o, na God dey keep us alive even as the Government no send us.
Harry: If you fit raise 300k, I go help you get UAE visa, my company there na security them dey into. Stadium, clubs, events, etc.
Me: Obbbboy this my body fit that kind job na, joblessness Don turn boys to gym expert and bet9ja ambassador.
Harry: no worry raise the bar.
Me: Okay baba.

Na so I enter road begin hustle, follow tipper drivers Up and down to raise the money, mama raise 100k and one and two together money correct I send am to my guy account here in Naija, in two weeks visa was out!! I nearly curse all my ancestors wey make me no speak out to Harry all these times. Na so I arrange bag and all that, mama go borrow money for flight, I tell am make she no worry everywhere good. In less than 2months everybody go dey alright. Small time Harry tell me say... Abeg bring, Garri, Oil, Dry fish, Equisi, ogbolor è remain small make he say make I bring Gbogbonise.
I say no shaking senior man anything for you. Na so I book ticket enter UAE. After paying much for excess luggage! We land via Rwanda Air. Wey Harry na?! He say somebody go pick me come, na so I follow dey wait, small time I buy etisalat sim and all that. Change money. The guy came said Harry said I'll give him 200AED to bring me over. I weak! I argue the guy collect 100AED we begin March.
Met with Harry and other guys in a house which I believed was Harry's only when night reach na Harry tell me say make I bring 60AED for bedspace Ò. Just to sleep! Na so life start the next day wey reality visit me, me and one guy begin waka for town unto I get work na make Harry just carry me go there make them Oga see my chest.
One week my whole money don finish, Harry was no where to be found!!! Advice from guys was I should bring money so they can help me get a job Bla Bla Bla Bla. I just cowardly tell them, if you see Arab wey go buy brokos, kidney, even head, just let me know!! Small time I don do CV, meanwhile I no authenticate my certs Ò. Before long I got some opportunities but the highest pay was 800AED with 10 occupant accommodation and transportation. Work condition was 14hrs on a bloody construction site under mad Sun! I picked it up as creditors don dey suck my mama blood for Naija, make I just pay the money and get peace, people of God na so I work finish, two months I send 70k home, Mama begin pray harder. I nearly die from that work, all my palms and eyes suffered from sore. Before long, them reduce salary to 600AED and employed more Nigerians. People begin para say them wan take those to court this and that. Na so them cancel all of us o. I go back to square one. This time visa Don almost kalas. Saw a nigga from my village and he asked me if I'd like to go back home. Na so I jump for him body say yes. He gave me a few money and asked me to go home. Bros, yes I came back, I didn't regret coming back, Harry sef till today na Ogun go judge you.
This is sadly funny but true.

I'm sorry about your situation but that's the reality here, if someone had advised you not to come then, apparently you would have seen a prospective enemy of progress, the truth is bitter but we must say it, UAE is a beautiful country with fantastic infrastructures but we Africans especially Nigerians will find it difficult to strive here unless for few lucky people. I came in UAE as a cleaner earning 36k monthly, I did a management course and it was very expensive while doing a cleaning job. God smiled on me and I got promoted to a Procurement Administrator in my company where I was once a cleaner and I was earning 5,000 drms... only few Nigerians will have this luck or opportunity. I worked for 6 more years, obtained diploma in Photography and that was how I became a CEO, I went back to Nigeria and I have no regret since I came back, I do travel to UAE for visit and other countries for events photography.
Most of the guys in UAE are spending naija money I. E visa procurements for their fellow brothers, most of them earn 1,200drms as salary but they make averagely 400k monthly in procurement of visas and accommodations for same Nigerians, you see them come back home with cars and you are intimidated and wanna follow their footsteps.
There is no harm in trying, who wanna come should come and see.

I have been waiting for a conducive time to share my experience here in UAE and I thank God the opportunity surfaced after Justwise lifted the ban he placed on me for reasons I know nothing about.
I came to UAE in March with high hopes et al .When I came I landed in Ajman where my agent resides. I was there, paid for bedapace 400 dirham and started the hussle for Job, printed many Cvs, went to so many walk in interviews even fake ones but no one called me back. In desperation for work 'cause my pocket money was already depleted, I had to follow one of my room mates to a grease oil producing company where we worked for 3 days ofcourse we left there because the work was very tedious and no assurance of visa.Still hoping and expecting a job, I met a brother in church here who took me to a company to work as an helper not knowing it was a construction job, this was where i nearly died as a result of much work under the scorching sun, i didn't wait for someone to tell me to run for my dear life before I did!I then decided to return to nigeria since no job is forth coming, already, I had asked for some money from home to extend my ticket to enable me use it and return to nigeria when one lady in my apartment collected my CV and submitted it to a company who called me for interview the next day and that was how I got the job and after one month I got my emirates id but mind you, I paid 800 for the job after I received my salary. The issue is that UAE is not easy but if you have patience and strong mind like NonnyG use to say, you can gjve it a try. I still feel nigeria is better tho if you have a well paying job or good business there please my people, stick to it and work harder, you will it better with time, determination and perseverance all other thing being equal. Life here isn't easy at all. Many of the people that came same time with me, are still jobless, roaming the streets while some have gone back nigeria. In my own opinion stay back 'cause", The grass is no longer green" outside o, it's only God.....You can give it a shot and if nature smiles on you fine, if not, please my people go back home o.It's better to keep hustling in naija or any good african country and live peacefully than to come here all in the name of abroad and live a deplorable life, especially ladies that have slim chance of getting a job.Now almost all of them are into prostitution here and I weep in my heart each time I see them displaying their amorous acts to lure dirty Pakistanis into bed for 50dirham. A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE! I have come and I have seen, take this from me or leave it!

You guys that kept saying "Go back home & hustle"
But Naija is nothing to write home about neither... even those in Naija are willing to leave. The more people think of going back home, the more the people at home are willing to leave the country also. Everyday about 80-100 Nigerians enter UAE everyday... So which way? May God just help person...

Just be very patient & follow the advice of people like NonnyG. Attend like 3-5 interviews every week (walk in or no walk-ins).
Never downgrade any job, Start with something but make your research about the firm very well before u enter... Its very important to know the type of Al Bab dat will employ you.

I know people that ive done visa chance 2 times - 3 times... still no job.

Once again:Just Start with something.. any job you see to get your Pali
After 6 months you then escape.
Even better jobs need at least 2 years UAE experience before u get am.

Nigeria system is not that when u go back home... there is guaranty of success.
The chance of being succesful at home is very low.
People that went back home are now in ghost mode on this thread because i can imagine the type of life they will be living now... Nothing is promising in Naija... People at home will tell you the way things are right now.

Take care of yourself, Pray & always be patient!!

Congratulations on your job. I have a feeling that this country has a way of knocking you down to the lowest point you’ve ever find yourself before picking you up again IF you don’t give up. Everybody has a story. At a point, the only thing that kept me going was because nothing was left behind at home. I just de smile as I de read here about how menial job is now scarce, as if professional jobs are readily available. Make I no talk much, I de birthday mood.

las las, we're our own problem, had it been Nigerians do corporate, 5-10 Nigerians can team-up and rent a studio; but that will not happen, bcoz Nigerians are so selfish to themselves. If only we can think of how this quick money making syndrome is fast consuming us, maybe we would consider making good name first and then money next.

Me, with all the advises I'm seeing, I might just have to consider my uae journey. May God direct me, bcoz Naija too sef don cast!!!
