In the last several months, Apple has taken the opportunity to clean house. Since September, Apple has quietly killed off more than half a dozen of its older devices, including some beloved iPhone models and the fanciest Apple Watch.

It even eliminated the iPhone X, which first hit store shelves less than two years ago.

Here are few devices Apple has discontinued in recent months:

iPhone 6+/6s

The iPhone 6S and its larger sister phone, the iPhone 6S Plus, were released in 2015, making them 3-year-old phones at this point. While there wasn't much reason to buy them anymore in terms of specs, both phones had a major selling point: They were two of the only three models of iPhone being made that still sported a headphone jack.



Starting with 2016's iPhone 7, all newer iPhones have only had Apple's own Lightning port connector. Up until it was discontinued, Apple was selling the iPhone 6S for $450, and the iPhone 6S Plus for $550.

iPhone SE



Until it was killed off, the iPhone SE had been a rare budget-conscious device from Apple, priced at $350. It was smaller and more lightweight than other iPhones, too, still sporting the well-regarded iPhone 5 design.

Plus, it had a headphone jack.


iPhone X

Perhaps the most shocking news to come out of the iPhone event last fall was that Apple decided to kill off the iPhone X. The year-old phone was Apple's flagship product last year, and it was warmly received by critics.

One would expect Apple to discount the phone rather than eliminate it altogether. And yet, it's been relegated to the scrap heap of history.

Still, the iPhone XS rendered the iPhone X redundant — it has a nearly identical design, with improved specs, at the same starting price point of $999.

Well what makes you think Samsung flagships are not fashionable and have good build and design comparable to Apple's
Handle an S10 alongside an iPhone Xs and honestly tell the difference!!

Lol if you work in the company for a while, maybe few months and you are of good behaviour, I believe you'd be qualified for an IPhone because the company is Apple Nigeria.

Most Nigerian employers do not understand this, they treat their staff like slaves. At my place of work, my boss treats us so well, so we wouldn't even think of stealing or commiting any crime against the company, they value their staff so much!
They Share ideas, open to suggestions and very understanding / considerate.

I do all that... I you visit, you won't be able to tell who is staff or owner, they set target themselves and I give them commission every Monday but still that Nigerian working attitude is still there...

Resuming late, attitude to customers, cheating customer (I hate that so much) many have suggested that I should fine them but at the end of the month I find it hard to deduct their money, I end up paying in full.. so the attitude continues, like boss will understand...

It's really hard for me to decide... I suspended 1 recently for one week the attitude is still there when he resume... So right now, I am thinking of firing all and bring new hands but my humanity is saying otherwise as I am the pillar of some... Firing them means they will drop out of school, now I am really confused

Awwwwwwwwh this is sad... I feel your pain really. I'm sorry you are going through all these even though you try your best to please them. I understand how difficult it is to take decisions about firing or deducting from their salaries, tough one... trust me. But you have to set rules, probably hold a meeting with them and make them understand you can't tolerate all their non-challant attitudes anymore, and if they don't cooperate, they are off.

I know my fears now... I am in a very competitive place and the cost of new worker (training, mistakes, customer service etc) that's my fear... So what I will do is to get new workers, train them and make them learn while those ones are still there and once their attitude start, no fear of replacement...
