Hi, getting accommodation in Dublin is not easy but then, different people have different experience. I will advise you to book a temporary hostel on booking.com for 1-2weeks. For some hostels, you won't have to pay any deposit to book a space while others may require a deposit of 5-10% of the actual amount. By doing that, you will have a place to stay for a while and search properly for a room/apartment of your choice.

Rents.ie , daft.ie and hosting power are the major sites for searching. Another option is discussing your challenge with people on ground. Someone may know someone who knows where there's vacancy. Information flows alot. This worked for me.

Cheers!!!!

Please if I make my visa application without accommodation specified yet, could this affect the approval? School fees paid and education bond made.
I'm planning to stay with a friend.

Hello. Please how do you guys pay for the PTE? It won't accept any of my cards and now I am locked out of my account, I guess for trying too many times.

LIT has just one intake per year which is September.

As for refunds, when I asked the admission office if they refund, this was their response; "We refund the full fees paid if a student is unable to attend LIT due to a visa refusal. For all other reasons, an administrative charge will be applied". Hope this helps

Alright. I am hoping you get yours. Did paying for the bond take time? Can one make payment and get a receipt in a few days?

You can pay and get your receipt within 48/72 hours. I don’t know how long it takes for Nigerian banks to post the payment though. I used a foreign account.

[quote author=Chibabe4Christ post=80082190]Good Morning house.. I have asked this question serverally and no one is answering me. Please I need your response oooo

You can go online and check the rankings of each school to help you make up your mind. Also factor in living costs yo arrive at a decision. Most schools have great records and the choice of school has minimal effects on getting a job

Google PTE exam Nairaland and a thread will come up. The last 6-10 pages has several links for materials. Also type in E2Learning with Jay on YouTube. I used his training methods and was able to score 90 with his tips. But you will need a lot of data

On YouTube
E2 Language PTE with Jay
Navjot brar

Then on nairaland search for PTE English test
There’s a link on page 1
It’s a zipped file that contains PTE emulator so you have an idea of what the environment would look like

Then go to pte website and download offline test pdf

You can practice with those
That’s what I used to prepare within a week and few days

I just wrote mine yesterday and my results came out this morning
Overall score of 71

In my opinion speaking is the hardest so try and improve your speech and oral fluency(no pauses just keep going)

There's an app I used from the Google Playstore called PTE TUTORIALS, it was extremely helpful. It contains hundreds of timed mock exam past questions in the exact PTE format as well as their answers. I totally recommend it and it is completely free as well.

E2 PTE ACADEMIC's YouTube channel was also very helpful as well, there are tones of YouTube videos out there claiming to offer pte tutorials most of which are complete rubbish, but these offered such practical advise in their videos as well as tips, tricks and scoring information. All I used was the app I mentioned and the YouTube channel and I was able to get an overall score of 75, with perfect scores in writing and listening.

Would have scored higher notably in Speaking but the PTE center at UKEAS was small and got very loud when we all started the speaking section together, which was very distracting.

Hey. I'm about to begin my visa process against January of next year, as I unfortunately will not be able to meet with September intake. I'll be using an Eurobond with no intention to submit my sponsor's statement of account ( My mum). The account hasn't had substantial cash flow and we are understandably worried that this might ultimately get me a visa rejection. My agent is however skeptical about solely opting for Eurobond w/o submitting my sponsors statement. She claims this will still get me rejected and she has seen cases of that happening.

Can you please reply with a list of the supporting documents you submitted or the friend of yours who was able to get his visa, did? She claims it might boil down to this. If there's anyone who got a visa through the Eurobond route, I'd also appreciate the supporting documents you had to attach to help bolster your case
