3 out of over a dozen short cm midfielders in world football. thank God okechukwu is not as good as etebo let alone xavi grin grin grin grin

coaches prefers tall and physical players in the midfield who can win aerial duels for the team not midgets who can easily be bullied around. for a short midfielder to make any team he has to be exceptionally good and the likes of scholes, xavi, iniesta, kante, gattuso are such
You have a point about height requirements of CMs

But I don't think that is the major factor governing scouts and coaches selection

Lolllllllllll

Maybe they need additional 200 heads
For World Cup they will need like a million ooo. To conquer those Oyinbo dey require more sacrifices.

Senegal ends Benin's roller coaster run in Egypt.

Coming this far, they have overachieved already.

Let them go and sit down.

Omo this one wey almost all sports don dey require height now, enter soccer where short folks thought they can at least compete, una wan come dey discriminate, abeg ooo, do you want short people to start another napoleon or world war to reconfigure the world order again ?

Yes and I stand by that. Theirs have improved no doubt and that's true when you look at their league and the recent head to head against us

I didn't say that they have improved to a point where they are better than us. Please understand.

We have dominated them for several years while their favorable results against us is recent. That doesn't make them better than us.

But the truth is our football has regressed. When you compare the team of 2004 and now (not even 2000 or 1994 or even 1998).
not sure you know much about SA football, if anybody want to talk about regression it should be them not us

Well why can't he be one of the exceptions if indeed "all" of them are tall. Anyways since he's not foreign born then you don't need him. Idrisa Gueye is also very tall, same as Modric, makhalele, scholes (though retired). Azibuike should be given a chance before he's declared unworthy to play for the SE.

As I earlier predicted:

Super Eagles to win 2:0 with a goal in either half:

I don't think Ighalo will score today but he will get an assist.

I predict goals coming from Musa and Ndidi (a header via set piece).

grin cheesy
I can't put my money on Nigeria keeping clean sheet.

Great choice of words sir. I would advise you to be civil incase your children see how their father behaves on a faceless forum like this. Try to set good examples as an elder or would be elder if you are not one already. Enjoy the game tonight and hopefully the SE triumphs and makes us all happy my brother grin

OKECHUKWU IS NOT EVEN AS TALL AS MODRIC ,MAKALELE OR EVEN GUEYE AND SECONDLY HE CAN'T LACE THEIR BOOTS SO THERE IS NO NEED BRINGING THESE LEGENDS TO THE ARGUMENT. SKILLS AND INTELLIGENCE WISE HE IS NOT EVEN UP TO SCRATCH WITH WHAT WE HAVE IN THE SUPER EAGLES SET UP AND IF HE IS ROHR WOULD HAVE GIVEN A CHANCE BECAUSE HE FEATURED IN THE SAME OLYMPIC TEAM THAT HAS ETEBO AND EKONG. MAKE UNA OPEN UNA EYES TO REAL TALENTS NO BE PRETENDERS.

Not a bad line up. Personally, I would've preferred to see Aina in the RB instead of Awaziem. Awaziem is more like a converted midfielder than a natural right back. But other than that, I think this is our best team.
