Yes. They will beat us. I'm not being unpatriotic, it's just me being realistic.

My prediction for our game against Algeria in details:

(1) I expect an exciting counterattacking game from both sides especially if Rohr starts Chukwueze and Musa.

(2) I expect plenty of goals. From both sides. I expect Algeria to end up the better side with a goal or two.

(3) Algeria to gain 60-70 percent of the ball possession as Nigeria sits back and hits on the counter.

That's why the coaches are paid, they'd come up with something for the match against Algeria. Let them worry about that

If we had topped our group and went all the way, we would have played Senegal at semis. God used Madagascar to bring us this far. grin

That is how destiny works.....we lost to Madagascar to escape future difficulties...Egypt was eliminated for us to occupy their time....The omen is true...outside forces playing roles to help us unknowingly...

Against Madagascar,we lost a battle....but we are winning the war....the omen is true

If I am to say my mind, with what I've seen from this Algerian team throughout this tourney, there is very little chance we are getting past them. It's the end of the road lads, it's time to go home.

P.S:
I am not trolling or hating, I love this team and I think they have already done thier best to get to this stage. We can only get better from here.

You said more than that before our game against SA. We won and you were nowhere to be found. When we wipe out Algeria, you will return here to continue your epistle in favor of Senegal (that's if they win anyway).

Continue predicting doom for the SE. Well done sir. cheesy

You have a point about their style of play but a learning point from this AFCON is that the performance of any team depends on the opposition.
There are teams that will always carry the day regardless. This one is for Algeria. They and Egypt were favourites from the word go.

Football is not mathematics ,what I like about the SE is that , they take every game as it comes , they raise the game to match the strength of their opponents , if the Ivorian were clinical enough today and took all their opportunities , they would have been the one smiling .... at the beginning of the match they played so well and created goal scoring opportunities ... but Algerian were lucky to win by PK ....we will not be heading to penalty come Sunday ... it will end after 90minutes as usual ... we have done it before and even when Maharez and The Galatasary guy was in top form .... My only concern will be Rohr’s attitude ,if he stand up to the game and take quick tactical decision when it’s necessary it will only speed up our victory .before the end of 90minutes

I was only pointing out and noting the strengths of an opposition team. The same way I would've done if I were Rohr's assistant coach or scout. There is nothing negative about it.

Doesn't make me a hater.

What did you see?

I saw a team that was missing net with ease. Do you know how many goals they couldn't score? A team that isn't clinical in the final third....if you no get talk, just dey read comments from others.

Before the afcon started, I categorically stated that the super eagles and the Golden eaglets will be playing in the finals of the competitions they will be participating in. Algeria isn't going to stop us.

Algeria will play into our hands.

Quote me if we fail to do so.

We were underdeveloped before the taking and have remained so. Blaming others for failure it brought upon itself. Slave trade ended a long time ago yet our leaders are still enslaved. We loot here and hide our loot there to further improve their economy.

I didn't want to join this argument again but for this beautiful post.
I'm tired of the blame game Africans keep playing. Africans are cowards. We have power but we use it in the opposite way because of greediness, useless pride and nepotism (religious and tribal). Something is wrong with the black man, and I've stated it earlier. The black man cannot aspire, lacks adventure and the will to invent. The black man is hopeless. When I look at our leaders, I see bunch of idiots that do not know they are making the black people look like bunch of animals. I wish I wasn't born in Africa, I don't deserve it, a lot of us don't. I didn't ask for it, and a lot of us didn't. If this will be the only question I'll ask God, it's why Africa?

There is one quality that naija team (that immensely helped them against Bafana Bafana) has that Algeria team lacks which the eliminated CIV team displayed this evening.

Can anyone here identity that quality.

Noted Sir but I choose to differ on this one. We lack the technicalities to beat this Algerian team.

CIV created enough to beat them today.

When i remember the way this SA team moves the ball from defense to attack in split seconds......hmm. The beautiful quick midfield interchanges they are so fond of.....hmm. Percy Tau's wizardry..... hmm. Lorch's lethality ( This cracks me up badly).... hmm. Mothiba's mobility.... hmm.

I sorry for Nigeria.

This is how as an assistant coach( you can't even see it sef even if Na table soccer we de play) would tell his coach Abi.
My friend, you need to detoxify your bowels!

We no bash you, it just came same time after watching opposition play (same thing SA vs Egypt).
You saw the game and you also see these Algerians are quite beatable. To some extent they play same way SA played Egypt, but really I do not see this Algerian team beating us.
You may be surprised Rohr may play his famous 3-5-2 which unsettles even the best of teams. Every opposition with different tactics.
So let's relax and enjoy the game come Sunday
