Hi, getting accommodation in Dublin is not easy but then, different people have different experience. I will advise you to book a temporary hostel on booking.com for 1-2weeks. For some hostels, you won't have to pay any deposit to book a space while others may require a deposit of 5-10% of the actual amount. By doing that, you will have a place to stay for a while and search properly for a room/apartment of your choice.

Rents.ie , daft.ie and hosting power are the major sites for searching. Another option is discussing your challenge with people on ground. Someone may know someone who knows where there's vacancy. Information flows alot. This worked for me.

Cheers!!!!

Thanks alot.i really appreciate...

Although it isn’t easy to find accommodation close to school, you can get one that should be 30 or 45 minutes bus to school. Which is mostly cheaper and more convenient, that’s what most of us did. Shalom.

Thanks a lot. i really appreciate..

Hello. Please how do you guys pay for the PTE? It won't accept any of my cards and now I am locked out of my account, I guess for trying too many times.

check your bank ATM card.it might be that it has not yet been activated for quick teller use.i had the same problem but my bank helped me activate my account for online payment. Your bank can help you out...

For those going to LIT, the link below are some accommodation providers you can check out. Please ensure to use google maps to determine the proximity of these addresses to LIT campus before making a booking.

PLS which school did U apply for that is resuming January

Hey. I'm about to begin my visa process against January of next year, as I unfortunately will not be able to meet with September intake. I'll be using an Eurobond with no intention to submit my sponsor's statement of account ( My mum). The account hasn't had substantial cash flow and we are understandably worried that this might ultimately get me a visa rejection. My agent is however skeptical about solely opting for Eurobond w/o submitting my sponsors statement. She claims this will still get me rejected and she has seen cases of that happening.

Can you please reply with a list of the supporting documents you submitted or the friend of yours who was able to get his visa, did? She claims it might boil down to this. If there's anyone who got a visa through the Eurobond route, I'd also appreciate the supporting documents you had to attach to help bolster your case

Processing takes 6 - 8 weeks. Do you think there'll be enough time before the session starts ? If yes then go ahead.

* You have to include all previous visa refusals when you apply for your Irish visa. If you don't disclose all, they will find out and can refuse your Irish study visa.

* Documents needed for Visa applications are here

Hello Yvonneochulo,

This is an open apology to you. I'm sorry I sounded the way I did.
Recently, spammers have taken over this thread contacting visa hopefuls posing as if they are already in Ireland and offering to help pay for one thing or the other.

I'm sorry if I jumped too quickly into conclusion without hearing you out first. I was very mad at the two scoundrels that sent me a pm yesterday telling to send money so they can help me sort accommodation out.

Funny thing is that they like you too registered just yesterday so i hastily and erroneously concluded it was the same person hiding under a different moniker.

I'm very sorry if I hurt you. Please accept my apologies.

I am sending you a pm now so I can also apologize privately.

Cheers

Hi Dear...
One of the things on the documents required is proof of funds...now you need a statement of account from your sponsor as you haven't worked and might not have the funds required for your living expense in your account...
If your sponsor has a robust statement of account over 6months, then you can tender it..in the case where the sponsor does not have same.. Education Bond is ideal..this is a process where you move funds to the Irish government which would be credited back to the account you open in Ireland...Hope that helps.
Cheers and Goodluck.

A lack of Travel history doesn't matter. As long as you've not been banned from any country or something.

How come you have no home ties? I'm guessing you're in your 20s, so there's nothing keeping you here?

No family? None?

Anyway when yoj for a student visa. You will need to state that you're going to come back to Nigeria after your studies.
