It varies across different books. Some have a very high-profit margin and others not so much. On average between 60-90% net profit

That's after taking out ALL expenses (hiring ghostwriters, narrators, running ads etc.)

In the example I gave, the $30 they deduct is for tax reasons.

Since Nigeria doesn't have a tax treaty with the US, they use that 30% withholding to compensate for it.

Of course, if you operate your business from Nigeria and you make $8500 in a month, that means they will take $2550. The blueprint shows you ways to legally reduce this tax but you'll still pay some sort of tax.

Even if they take $2550 from you, $5950 (N2.14 million) is still a lot of money to be made in a month in Nigeria. That's N24 million in a year. Not to mention the fact you're earning in dollars and spending in Naira..that's a lot of purchasing power

Furthermore, each book is like a rental property bringing in rent every month only this time you don't have to deal with

- Tenant telling you stories about your rent money
- Tenants taking you to court
- Tenants destroying your property etc.

Made $26.5 from Page Reads Alone Yesterday

So yesterday, I came very close to breaking a long-standing KENP record I've had since December 9, 2018, when I got a page reads of 6821 (yes lol, I keep an excel spreadsheet record of EVERYTHING).

For the past 7 months, I've been trying to break that record but to no avail.

...until I got very close yesterday (which got me very excited)

Yesterday's page read total was 6640 which using a conservative royalty rate of $0.004/page came out to a royalty of $26.56 (N9500). For fiction, this may be very unimpressive BUT considering I'm exclusively in non-fiction publishing, this is a pretty high number.

On the other hand, the amount earned may not look like a lot, but to me, every single dollar counts.

To eventually start earning a lot of money from your publishing business, you need to pay attention to OPTIMIZATION

This is why I always stress investing in a high quality book..if you want something that'll stand the test of time.

In addition to plenty of strategies I enumerate in the Kindle Blueprint, I also touch on ways to take advantage of your email list. One of which is benefiting from discount days on Amazon like Prime Day (which is today), Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Boxing Day, Christmas Day etc.

If you actually bothered to build an email list, you would have been in a position to monetize these discount days by emailing your list and telling them your books are on discount and they should go and purchase (which a hyperlink leading them to your books on Amazon).
